It did it FBF. It passed TDK as the all-time weekend box office winner in the USA. Mission accomplished;however, EIN(Everything Is Nothing) could care less about it. Now, watch HBO's first look at 9:45pm Wednesday when Danielle and the other 'oeufs' (French for eggs) are interviewed about Roy Rogers meets the Jetsons. THIS film MIGHT attract the green vegetable's attention. Where's Ale? MIA.

Superman: Man of Steel plot synopsis leaked online
What will Zack Snyder's Clark Kent be getting up to?
By Matt Maytum | Apr 18th 2011

Zack Snyder and project 'Godfather' Christopher Nolan have remained frustratingly tight-lipped when it comes to Superman: Man of Steel's plot details.

Now, Bleeding Cool (via Collider) have found a synopsis that's doing the rounds, and if true, gives a tantalising taster of how Snyder and Nolan plan to make Supes 'relevant'.

The synopsis runs as follows: "A young reporter named Clark Kent roams the world covering various news stories.

"When he is compelled to use his secret powers to intervene in a crisis in West Africa, he returns to Smallville to learn more about his origins and the hero he was born to be."

As Collider points out, this is in keeping with plot details that were linked to casting calls. That breakdown read: "The plot involves Clark getting involved in some sort of battle between two tribes in West Africa.

"When he is compelled to use his secret powers to intervene in a crisis in West Africa, Clark returns to Smallville to learn more about his origins and the hero he was born to be."

While there's still no guarantee of authenticity, Baseline apparently have a strong track record with this kind of thing.

Having Clark roaming the world would at least make for a unique take on the origin story, as his time in Smallville has certainly been done to death (not least in the TV show of the same name).

It'll also be fun to see Superman helping out on a global scale, though we can't glean from the synopsis how much of the movie he'll spend travelling.
Surely this plot is going to draw comparisons to Batman Begins, which can't be a bad thing, right?

I have been reading film trade reports that HP DH2 has grossed an estimated $475 mil worldwide on its opening weekend.
The US gross was a record (though obviously helped from the slightly higher tivket prices for the 3D viewings...........but the
international gross of $307 is fantastic (and thats without China, where film doesnt open till August).
I've heard Potter has broken the UK record as well, but will have to wait till Monday for the figures.

Why can't Bond follow the example of Potter and have well written and directed movies.....maybe then they will make more money.

I know a lot of people blamed Marc Forster for the QOS mess, well he did contribute to it, but in an interview i read this weekend, he very much
stated that he didnt want to do the film, as it was not in his ballpark, but mainly because EON didnt have a script for the film.
Apparently it was Craig who convinced Forster to make the film.

I dont mind Craig in the role, but i dont think he should be involved in selecting directors, just because he wants an oscar, this is probably why
Mendes was picked for Bond 23.

EA

ps: FBF is new Potter film that good?

Because Barbara Broccoli inherited the franchise from her father.

Marc Forster played his part for sure. You may have a point the quality of the movies with the same director were all over the place. It may be high time to place the blame squarely on eon.

Everyone has something good to say about HP no way will it do Avatar but Titanic is a maybe.

Everyone excepts a few agree qos was a very bad movie, now it comes down to belief that the Bond people will remember how to make a good movie like LTD and GE. Knowledge from 20 some years ago, I think they can do I just don't think they will anytime soon.

Warners was eager to release a triumphant PR!
Opening day-and-date in 59 territories, the international box office take was a staggering $307 million, making it the biggest international weekend of all time. Led by record-breaking grosses in the UK ($36.6 million) and Australia ($26.7 million), all markets have performed exceedingly well, including Germany ($25.7 million), France ($23.9 million) and Japan ($21.5 million).
UK had 23 million  That is about half of James Bond does here and all of what 007 will do in the States
See... I told FBF harry didn't need me ;)

How's that to CR's and QOS' respective overall numbers? I hope the HP 7.2's numbers stay that way or higher.

EA, it's really great, and I know some may disagree, but it's the best fantasy movie ever since ROTK.
