Absolutely James Bond isn't bad to be honest. Both myself and Allessandra (and quite a few others) have felt quite free to speak our minds there. They have people with very different views there but they all seem to get along.
Completely agree about AJB. It is by far the best of the general Bond sites, they do have people with many different ideas and the civil people do get along no problem, no matter what their point of view is. I still post there, mainly on a thread I created for us girls, and I'm happy to interact with people whom I've been talking to for years at this point, no matter whether they are Craig fans or not. I of course make it a point to be careful since it's not nice to post exaggerate criticism of Craig in a place where there are Craig fans, I would find it rude toward others, but of course everyone VERY well knows where I stand
And mostly agreed, BJ. This place has been great lately and we have all enjoyed discussing matters, so I won't stand for any type of attitude that ruins it.
Oh and Bond 77 thanks for the good wishes about my spending more time in the US soon

Can someone clue me in about CBn? I went over there just now and--brrr--indeed it seems to be hounding anyone who doesn't care for Craig or this ridiculous ad. Is it known for a fact that Eon employees are in charge, or posting, there?

If this site quashes the opinions of those who like Daniel Craig's Bond and the other main James Bond sites are "Craig fan sites" does that mean there are no James Bond fan forums which have all opinions on them?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I don't think that can be true - didn't they get into a lot of trouble for using Eon copyright material a few years ago (and this is why fan art I have posted there has always been (pretty bluntly) turned down). If you look at CBn (if you can bring yourself to do it) there really aren't any film stills or anything on there. There are much more on here - is this place Eon authorised?Charles Vine wrote:Can someone clue me in about CBn? As I've said before, a while ago I suggested that there were EON shills ar both of the big boards..you would have thought I'd gone on a massive killing spree.
I had it confirmed that there is at least one EON shill at Commander Pravda. Don't know about MI6 but it wouldn't surprise me.

The was at least one on MI6 he was called out on it and admitted it eventually.I don't care if fans want to have their say I draw the line at paid or ex-employees carrying the companies water. There is no reason debate on what has to be a shock wave in the world of Bond should be locked. Is Hosni Mubarak a consultant for Eon now?

I have read your posts at CBn, I can see them in that video thread (which is wierdly pro).bjmdds wrote:But CB.net refuses to post my responses James, so which is worse? I suspect they are letting stuff through to have their multiple minions try to attack it.
The moderators there are pretty hopeless - there's one massive egotist, Jim, who pervades and the place is just a big suck-up to him.

Oscar, what irks me is when they're shady about it. Well, they *think* they're being shady but they're being pretty obvious. That is what I was commenting on.And of course at the time someone from MI6 came and got all upset and said it wasn't true, etc.

It's MGM that owns the rights to images, not EON. The movies are produced by MGM, while EON has the rights on Bond, MGM owns copyright on photos and film stills. So yeah they did get in trouble, but not with EON. They got in trouble with MGM. And yes it is confirmed that at least a couple of the people who manage things there work with EON. It's not even much of a secret. The fact there are people who work for EON there enables EON to of course dictate a line, and clearly them working for EON implies they take care of any Craig dissent posted on CommanderPravda.net. But that doesn't mean EON EVER officially said the site is theirs or even endorses it. They could never do something like that officially, they'd look beyond pathetic! And at that point, by paradox, they would be forced to let all opinions flow in, or they would make a joke of themselves to the eyes of everyone in the industry.I don't think that can be true - didn't they get into a lot of trouble for using Eon copyright material a few years ago (and this is why fan art I have posted there has always been (pretty bluntly) turned down). The way things are handled now instead allows them to cut off anyone who disagrees with the current direction and dislikes Craig, without having to admit to doing anything. Win-win for them (in their minds... clearly to anyone with a brain this is just pathetic.)

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Well, I keep getting "moderator will view my posts" messages here, so it may be because you are new there? I've just looked at their video thread and there's one there that had a picture of Blofeld in drag in it which you commented on but the picture's been removed (by the power-crazed Jim, obviously) on the usual excuse of getting into trouble with Eon.
Shame, because CBn has wider ranging discussion than here (you do seem a bit obsessed by Daniel Craig) and they are quite good on the books (you don't really have anything here) - I think they probably are Bond fans at heart but they either over or under moderate and can't get the idea about letting people express themselves quite right.
I am from the UK, since you asked.

Really? Who? If that's true, it's a bit serious for them as they do claim to be independent. I think it would be worth your stating who those people are as that's misleading of them if it's true.Alessandra wrote:shaken not stirred wrote:katied wrote:And yes it is confirmed that at least a couple of the people who manage things there work with EON. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I'm not about to publicly expose names of people. They know who they are. It's not my place to say names and I never would in a forum anyway. Many people are aware who the people in question are anyway.La Viande Rose wrote:Really? Who? If that's true, it's a bit serious for them as they do claim to be independent. There is an entire section of the forum dedicated to the books here, I think you may not have seen it. There are sub-forums. Also, CBn has been up for way longer than this site, so clearly they have had time to have already covered more topics. And, this forum is about Daniel Craig not being Bond, for those who don't actually enjoy him as Bond, so obviously the discussions revolve around that subject. Doesn't mean it is everyone's cup of tea, but it's what the site is about.
Also, the CBn people CAN claim to be independent because EON doesn't officially endorse the web-site. Of course it is misleading, but that's another matter.
