It could be done, I don't think it has been. All they have to do is cast the new Bond before Bond 23 is wrapped - most agree the odds are it'll be the last of Craig.
A fresh director and new Bond, the production crew would be game and off for a number of months before hand. A rare opportunity to get a jump on production. Imagine the PR.

But EON can't handle things as they are. They are wandering around in the dark right now failing to realize one film.

Seriously I'd hire Cavill/Jackman/CGI Connery get a good team on the scripts then make two Bonds back to back like a Potter film, staggering releases as well.

EON is not up to date for 1960s Hollywood, they've up dated their CGI/FX dept and that's about all. There is a lot of money to be made in Bond the first step is taking along term view, anyone doing that has to come to the conclusion Craig's days are numbered. However the first thing a renewed effort to make Bond Bankable again is to renew the enthusiasm about it, to begin with produce a moderately successful film then build in on that. Brozza did moderately well (amazing compared to the previous decade) unquestionably the savor of the franchise but under his watch they really could have taken the series to new heights - as evidenced to how well the pump was primed for CR. In the end EON was too scared to let Brozza follow his instincts and let the writers do their job properly.

CR and Quark were supposed to do what I am talking about however EON screwed the pooch royally with Quark and had no clue for the follow up. The MGM mess is a sideshow compared to how screwed up EON is. EON used to stay a few steps ahead, since Cubby passed they are constantly playing catch up and are used to working in chaos.

Fincher is too unpopular to win anything. Besides Craig would have to not act like himself to be nominated.

2002:DAD 2003 2004 2005 2006(CR) 2007 2008(QOS) 2009 2010 2011 2012 now doubtful. Does Eon really believe the Cr-egg era is a success?! Are they smoking Charlie Sheen's crack cocaine at his mansion? Get Jackman on board for 3 films RIGHT NOW!

According to Wikipedia, EON is very keen for the 2012 date because they want to cash in on the 50th anniversary of DN. If that's correct, expect another rush job like QOS. I definitely think they should use my Risico idea of having the film lead directly into DN if that's the case. They've had the Bond series's first direct sequel, why not its first prequel?

I don't understand the need to put out a film in an anniversary year myself, though there seem to be a lot of fans who are keen on the idea.

Can't remember if we talked about it before but Masterpiece Theater has been airing Any Human Heart over the past few Sundays. I finally got around to watching the first episode and I loved it. It's based on a book by William Boyd, and follows Logan Mountstuart(played as a young man by Sam Claflin, as a middle aged man by Matthew Macfadyen, and as as an old man by Jim Broadbent) as he has all sorts of adventures, and meets several famous people, including Ian Fleming.

The weird(and really quite cool) coincidence was that Fleming by Tobias Menzies, who played Villiers in CR!

Bond 23 lost Javier Bardem, if Bond 23 ever had him.

So far we have a list of actors not doing Bond 23 with no word on the real cast.Bad sign? Normal?

http://www.monstersandcritics.com/peopl ... Oz-prequel Speaking of prequels, are they kidding? I thought the land of Oz was part of Dorothy's dream? Now it is reality with this concept and script? I think Franco needs to have a tornado whisk him away from Hollywood after that abysmal co-hosting job at the Oscars  :gun: .

I did read the L Frank Baum book as a kid, though I don't really remember it, but I think the idea of it being a dream was something that was added for the MGM film version with Judy Garland. I don't think it was in the book, or any of the film adaptations of it that preceded the Garland film (which I think was something like the fifth film version of the novel).

There are like 20 Oz books. When I first read Oz prequel I thought it was about the HBO series

I take it the Superman thing was done to show how much Cavill is Bond right? Since he not only is Bond, but also Superman (and that's official, thankfully).

That wax thing, I had to look at it for a minute... I thought it was him for real! (no kidding!)

It's just amazing that a nothing two bit actor like Cr-egg can get roles just because he slept with a producer with power in hollywood for a huge franchise. Look at C-wax-y Bond above. It encompasses the true sour and dour facial expression that the entire world has come to expect.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUZAp4t_Wpo The 2011 winner of American Idol should be Pia. She could then sing Jackman's theme song for Bond in 2013. What does Ms. Bouvier think?

Superman producer Christopher Nolan has said that Henry Cavill will make an "extraordinary" Man of Steel.

Nolan, who will oversee Zack Snyder's franchise reboot while directing The Dark Knight Rises, discussed the British actor's casting in the iconic superhero role with Empire.

"Henry's a terrific choice as Superman," Nolan said. "Other than having the look, he gave an incredible performance in the test we did and I think he's going to be something really extraordinary in the role."

Cavill revealed that he almost gave up acting, only to change his mind when he came close to landing the role of James Bond in Casino Royale.

"I was actually very close to throwing in the towel before the Bond screentest happened," he explained. "The test kept me in the industry. As soon as I got it, I thought, 'There's a reason to stick around. I'm not just wasting my time here.'"

Diane Lane was recently added to the Superman cast as Clark Kent's adoptive mother Martha Kent. Kevin Costner and Viggo Mortensen have also been rumored for the comic book movie.
