The thing is they need to pick the right musicians. Alicia Keys is a very talented singer, but she is absolutely not right to do a Bond theme song. And, they always tended to pick the "trend of the moment" band or artist BUT only if they fit in well. I sure wouldn't complain if Coldplay were to do a Bond theme song, thing is they never will because they cost too much... and Barbara Broccoli is an idiot. I cringed when I heard they wanted Winehouse, seen as I cannot stand the way that woman sings, and best of luck to her of course but I was glad she didn't do it. Then of course we got a dreadful song nevertheless, so I guess there's no escape.

I frankly don't care much who does the song seen as Craig's aspect will anyhow ruin the good atmosphere for me, BUT if I could pick a big and "trendy" band, I would most definitely pick Maroon 5. Problem is Adam Levine (the lead singer) in a tux looks a lot more like Bond than Craig does.

Winehouse's ship sailed a long time ago. There tend to be frenzies elsewhere when fan(boy)s tend to get a been in their bonnet about someone and,for lack of a better word shove them down others' throats(see also:Fassbender. :? )

Your favorite Winehouse MP is MIA. Where is she, in rehab?

Winehouse turns up on the gossip websites from time to time, still looking worse for wear. I don't think she has any intent of ever getting off the pharmaceuticals.

I would LOVE to see you and her in a room whereby you could try to talk some sense into her. Put her and Gag-Gag in the egg together and put them both on stage. Gag-Gag said she lived in the egg 3 days prior to the Grammy's. Was she joking? She showed up on GMA this morning dressed in a condom by the way. She is a VERY VERY disturbed entity. Could you picture Broccoli and her discussing the Bond theme while Gag Gag showed up wearing her underwear at the discussion? MGW would be speechless. By the way, Bond is still done until Cavill takes over so the next film is irrelevant and a total waste of time. If eggy stays on through the 24th film, it's all over. From 2002-2012 3 poor Bond films with a humanoid actor in the role!

Henry Cavill, who was recently chosen to play Superman in the upcoming reboot, revealed to EW that he almost landed that part of James Bond!

“I came very close,” Henry said. “The choice was between a younger Bond and a Bond closer to his 30s, which is to say, Daniel Craig.”

I think there was only ever going to be one winner in the race to succeed Pierce Brosnan: Barbara's close friend and favourite actor.

Glad he explained the last part. A Bond closer to his 30s, still not a description of Craig who looks like a retired postman who found in a form for the 00 section on the back of his retirement check. Guess I mind the fantasy of Craig being a "rookie" when there are people of the right age and skillset who are carded when they try to buy a beer.

Quite right. Everyone was shocked when Pierce was fired, he wanted to come back, it seems everyone involved aside from Barbara was keen to make a fifth movie with him. Now the series is stuck with a actor who probably shouldn't make three movies, while passing up on excellent replacements who could easily do the role for ten to fifteen years.

Well I am extremely glad that it is PUBLIC now what I've been saying about him being the last man standing vs Craig. And he, as usual, was very polite and gracious commenting about it. AND he only did it NOW, not trying to get publicity back then when things happened. He sure doesn't need the publicity now with what's going on with Superman, everyone wants him. I love him more everyday.

And I agree, Omega. And of course, now it's clear why Craig was chosen. Since he sure as hell doesn't look like someone close to their 30s. It was all Barbara's doing. Not that we didn't know before... just what Henry Cavill said sheds further light.

It's a condom MP to promote AIDS awareness like anyone is still unaware of what it is. She will be in bars with the Winer soon enough.

That woman is disgusting, the end. And don't get me started on her lack of talent. She's good at publicity. Talent is a FULLY different thing.

I'm too happy about what Cavill said to be even listening to her LOL. It's so great to see the truth being revealed. And to be able to publicly loathe Barbara Broccoli even more

I blame MGW for a lot of this. He worked on all those Cubby Bonds and years later he allows his little sister to cast her mate and turn Bond into some pretentious Jason Bourne rubbish.

Exactly right James and FBF. They belong in Shawshank prison. The truth is out there and we knew it all along. Barbara's loins are the evil culprit. The other head cheeses were roped into this mess BUT I think the tide is about to turn on Broccoli. I now truly believe she will be bought out or else the franchise is over. Broccoli MUST go.....Period......end of story! At this point anything involving the "egg" and his "chicken" in regard to Bond is irrelevant.

It's all out there now MP. We nailed the truth at the inception of the miscast. Why bother continuing now with this current group of losers?
