Hiddleston 5-1 to be Bond on Betfair. I've hacked FBF's credit card and put £1 on.

I will get FBF back on board here ONLY if Turner is the choice. Anyone else, we execute Order 66 at once and the Cr-egg dvds get smashed in public at Comic Con in California, right FBF? I want your name changed to NTF (New Turner Fan). I know FBF feels Turner has the best Bond look since Pierce:

We both know Turner is a logical choice, but with Babs still in control, I won't waste any time with anything post-Brosnan under her name.

Oh yes you will NTF :!: You need to give him a chance to redeem the franchise to you in the Pierce tradition...............Today they re-opened with Aidan rocketing into prime position for the role with shortened stakes of 1/5.

Spokesperson Liam Glynn said: “After suspending the betting on Tuesday due to a massive surge of support for Aidan Turner to become the Next James Bond at 2/5, we have opened back up the market on the Next James Bond this morning but cut Turner into the red hot 1/5 favourite to be drinking his Martini’s “Shaken Not Stirred”.” He added: “There is no smoke without a fire and it certainly looks like Turner has been in negotiations with the Bond producers and it will be interesting to see how long we will be able to keep the market open for again or will we see a gamble take place on an outsider in the coming days.”

The firm, who had previously placed the TV star at 2/5 odds, said it had been “all one way traffic” during the late hours of Monday and early on Tuesday. Northern Irish-born Aidan - who secured legions of fans for his role as Ross Poldark in the BBC period drama - has been backed by fans for the role.

Twitter user Delia Cazzato gushed over the filmstar and wrote: "The next James Bond should be tall, dark, have Irish charm ooh sounds like Aidan Turner.

"He is the perfect man for the job."

Another seemed like she was already eager to get in line for her tickets and posted: "Please, please, please, let #AidanTurner be the next #JamesBond.

"I would actually go to a theatre to watch that movie. <3 Twice!."

The big difference is there were good reasons why Cubby wanted Roger back. What good reasons are there to bring back Craig? IMO he looked bored in all of his movies(except maybe CR) but many commented how he was sleepwalking through SP.

In CR, Craig just looked detached from every scene as if he was puzzled why he was cast in the first place. As for what good reasons to bring him back and looking bored in the other three films, well that sums up why I'm suspicious of the "story" that he turned down £68 million for two more Bond films. Sounds like a defense mechanism from the Eon publicity machine to glamorize his exit. It makes no good business sense to throw that kind of money at him. He's not even a major star like a Tom Cruise or a Leo DiCaprio. The guy has zero star power, and when you factor in the massive PR push (with the massive costs behind it) that Eon and Sony did for him (and even Amy Looney-Tune Pascal backed him up on major projects like The Girl with the Rivets and Tattoos or whatever it's called), the guy went nowhere. Even His Hollywood Majesty Steven Spielberg mentioned recently how Cowboys and Aliens was a major setback for DreamWorks. Obviously, the filmmakers cast Craig in this one, thinking he would lend some star power to the box office. Yet I don't see Spielberg eagerly lining up Craig for a starring role in a sequel. Anyway...

But by 2008, high-level power struggles (largely due to Geffen's machinations) had soured the relationship to the breaking point. Spielberg and then co-chairman, Stacey Snider, launched what he calls "DreamWorks 2.0" as the recession hit. DreamWorks fell well short of its financing goal and released such misses as Cowboys & Aliens and I Am Number Four.

"We had these movies that simply did not perform," says Spielberg. "What really hurt our company was Cowboys & Aliens [which cost more than $150 million to make]. Even though we shared it with Universal as a financier, just half of what we lost crippled us. And you know you're underfinanced if one movie can cripple you."

To be fair, I don't think he did it single-handedly.

Graham Rye's 007 Magazine is reporting the following and he insists these are the facts from inside sources and not speculation.

https://www.facebook.com/007-MAGAZINE-95915333105/
So, Daniel Craig has walked away from the Bond role; Tom Hiddleston shot a Bond screen-test about a month ago at Pinewood Studios; Barbara Broccoli has offered Hiddleston the role; Hiddleston is thinking about it; apparently...

All that have been stated are the facts as known by people in the know...

If Piddleston is still 5-1 I might have a bet today. Can't say I want him to get the part though.

This is why I don't want to get excited about turner, it's freaking babs with the final say!
She wanted Sean bean as bond, a great 006 but bad 007.
I don't hate Hiddleston he's s much better choice than Craig, I can't see him as bond but maybe he can actually act like bond.
Good part IMO is he can't play Craig's bond either, hopefully they reboot again because they f'd up the story lines with Craig.

In my view, Hiddleston would be miscast. Yeah, a step up in quality from Craig but there's something about him. He looks like a scarecrow. But I can see looney tune Broccoli casting him. It seems she'll have to go for another "unconventional" actor. Getting an Aidan Turner or some such actor with the Dalton/Connery/Brosnan essence would be an admission that the Craig style was all wrong, that she's going back to the so-called classic Bond because her experiment no longer works. I don't know. We'll see.

Meanwhile, Hiddleston has been tabloid material for cavorting with Taylor Swift. For example, the Sun is claiming that she's "secretly romancing future James Bond Tom Hiddleston." But I"d prefer an unknown, like what they did when Eon stumbled upon a young Connery.

Anyone who is NOT a Bond material is a Bond material in this day and age because of Babs. Babs himself is better casting these unconventional weirdos. Let her do so because it's what she is, and she should embrace it. She doesn't need to reform and go back to Cubby's ways because Bond isn't for us rebels anymore. If she wants to cast someone like Jerry Sadowitz, I don't care as long as he's a Brit and can act.

Captain America: Civil War finally topped $400 million domestically this weekend, making it the 23rd film to cross that mark and the fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.............FBF, IF Broccoli picks LOKI as her new Bond, I will join your brigade to bury the franchise once and for all :!: Hiddleston would be ANOTHER putrid Bond for sure and he will feminize the role as Broccoli may actually want. If that is truly her game, I am done with Bond. ONLY Turner will bring me back to the franchise. It's been 14 years now since we had a REAL Bond film with a REAL Bond looking actor. Broccoli has wasted enough of our time. It's Turner or bust, unless she has a hidden gem out there that nobody ever heard of.

Don't trust Babs BJ. Don't trust her. Even if she did cast a traditional type, there's NO guarantee she'll keep her promise to keep him for a longer period of time.
