I might be misunderstanding, but are you attacking Brosnan for spending time with his wife on the beach (irrespective of what she might look like)? I feel as if I have fallen down a rabbit hole, into a weird world where Brosnan needs defending from his fans. With fans like that, good help him, should he decide to quit acting to spend time with his loved ones.
No one attacked him...bj wrote how some magazines mentioned his wife in context of weight and all that...I read something like that in Croatian papers but seriously that's not much of a big deal...that definitely isn't the deciding factor involving anything...promoting is the most important thing
These posters do not read what is written Veronica. I was talking about any negative press that Pierce gets hurts his chances for better film roles and unfortunately these rotten tabloids eat this stuff up and humanity buys it, and as it is repeated in the media websites it festers and is mocked. It's a sad state of affairs what the human race has regressed to. After all, how can you give a Grammy for music to rap when there is no singing whatsoever involved? Those awards should have the asterisk that steroid sports cheaters should have after their names.

That doesn't look like you quoting articles, especially when you called his wife immense. Christ, I am not a fan of his (though my opinion of him has changed in the last few years), but even I wouldn't make a comment on her weight like that. And have you considered the possibility that the public might not be the problem? Brosnan, himself, might not want to do the kind of films that you want him to do.

Toothpaste, I didn't wrote this,...I didn't comment on her weight at all just said that some magazines had. And I already said how I don't see it as a big of a deal and that he should keep in shape-first he is in his 60's,of course he will not have six pac like 20 year olds...the only thing I said is a that his movies need better promotion that's all...and I don't have a particular "wish" to see him in specific kind of movies...

The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

Kristatos wrote:What the hell does his wife have to do with anything? Who bases their moviegoing decisions on the weight of the actors' wives?
I saw something not too long ago praising him and a handful of others for not marrying for looks.

I don't see what his wife has to do with anything. I don't know if it's because of that fight he had with paparazzi the unflattering beach photos keep coming.

Brosnan's wife wasn't overweight when they met. She's a bit large nowadays but not ugly though I think.

For his sake I hope she remains healthy because obesity has become an epidemic with serious health complications and he has had his share of heartache. He can love her all he wants but she would probably be a lot less likely to have an adverse medical problem if she would get back to some semblance of her former self.

Paparazzi fight? What was that about?
In 2007: Actor Pierce Brosnan has been hit with a lawsuit by the photographer who claims he was beaten up by the James Bond star earlier this year.

Brosnan is alleged to have attacked snapper Robert Rosen in Malibu, California, in October, but Los Angeles County prosecutors decided not to press criminal charges against the 54-year-old last month, citing lack of evidence.

However, Rosen is now suing Brosnan for assault and battery.

In legal papers obtained by TMZ.com, Rosen alleges an “out of control” Brosnan “punched, hit, struck, and attacked” him, using force that was “excessive, unlawful, (and) malicious.”

He also claims the injuries sustained from the attack will cause him to “lose earnings in the future.”

Rosen is seeking undisclosed damages for assault and battery, as well as for negligence.

Who knows? Overweight people can have many problems. It's unhealthy to be like that.

One thing I noticed on Croatian forums-whoever said that they liked Casino Royale because it was more "realistic" and had no gadgets said how "they were never a big Bond fans anyway"... so basically this proves how these Craig films are Bond for people who aren't Bond fans...
