Another accident occurred Tuesday during the shoot for the latest James Bond film, Spectre. While filming in Solden, Austria, a camera truck veered off the road and crashed into a barn, seriously injuring at least one crew member, sources tell THR. Second unit assistant director Terry Madden, who had also worked on the previous James Bond films Skyfall, Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale, was injured in the accident, suffering multiple fractures, according to those sources. Madden has worked on every Bond film since 1981’s For Your Eyes Only. MGM and Sony had no comment, while Eon did not immediately respond.

Forget James Bond BJ! He's not worth it anymore, and he's long gone already based on the madness SF has given us. We GOT Kingsman, and who needs 007 when we got this spy film? This comic-book based film has given me the the blown away sensation I haven't felt in a spy film since DAD. You want a classic Bond? Kingsman is the answer now, not the 7th James Bond!bjmdds wrote:The story is running on a lot of websites and Brosnan has debased his influence now on the future of the series. His NM sequel, if it ever occurs, won't get one penny from me at the box office.
Sure I was pissed when Pierce supported DC and watched SF in theaters, but does that stop me from going to see his upcoming movies? No, it doesn't. If Pierce wants Idris, let him be. And if Tim is going to join him on that, let him be as well. And BJ....you WILL support NM2. I think you're going way too harsh.

Very wise, that's why I have a number of candidates.Kristatos wrote:Purefoy was my choice for the next Bond after Brosnan as well. FBF, for 10 years you have been doing battle with Broccoli and Pascal, deeming them the enemy, and I agreed. You know they ruined the franchise. Pascal desired Elba as Bond, and you know that is a joke. Also, Cavill has deep respect for Bond and KNOWS the story. He'd definitely bring back a TRADITIONAL Bond the way it's supposed to be. If the producer let him, obviously. The actor has very little say in where things go, unless he's Babs' s crush.

Brosnan, y u do dis?
Man, Brosnan's my favorite Bond. Reading him recommended Idris Elba and Colin for the role's nearly equivalent for me to something like being kicked out by my own mother.
I know that Idris Elba's acting in Thor made no one questioned his role as Heimdall, but a supporting character comic book's not as grande as a worldwide icon. If it really happen, then it's worse than Fifty Shades of Grey being adapted into Film.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
What do people expect Pierce Brosnan to say? He isn't a rude idiot, of course he would have kind words when asked about Elba or Craig. Do not you know how the game is played in Hollywood? I'm not surprised. He was asked a direct question, you SERIOUSLY expected him to say "well Bond isn't black so he can't play him"??! WHAT? Do you want him to be called a racist everywhere? He knows better than to say stuff like that. It's the way things are.
And he DID NOT champion Elba against Henry Cavill. Henry Cavill was NOT a part of the conversation. He was asked a direct question and answered it. He didn't bring it up himself.
Also and by the way, while I don't support Elba at all, because he isn't handsome enough in the slightest, I COULD see Colin Salmon as Bond. NOW HE has that classic elegance and demeanor. I could have seen Denzel Washington too. (He's AMERICAN on top of black so no, but again, I'm just speaking theoretically). Not Idris Elba. Sorry, he is NOT classically handsome the way Bond is supposed to be.
Forget the fact Salmon is black, we all know Bond isn't black, so obviously that doesn't fit, but he HAS got the characteristics as in the class, elegance, all-around demeanor, that make Bond who he is. I can see why Pierce endorsed him.
Obviously, the right candidate is Henry Cavill, that goes without saying. I'm just pointing out how, even if we discount the fact that Bond isn't black, there are black actors who WOULD suit the part, but Elba in my opinion is NOT one of them.
Pierce was just politically correct and there was no other way he could have handled that question.

He could have simply said "Henry Cavill is my preferred choice" and that would have ended it. This PC garbage has to stop already and state the truth that Elba does not fit the role desription. Simple.

Bond has been dead since Pierce was dismissed. Let's face it: James Bond has since given up on us. Don't expect Pierce is only one who supports Idris. It won't be long before Tim go for the black Bond. Again you're too harsh on him. Forget Bond BJ and wake up. 007 is not us for anymore. We can honor those good times, but we can't hope for the traditional Bond actor to return anymore. Look what happened 3 years ago when SF made history, and anybody or anything can be Bond now based on that madness. Yes, a black Bond is inappropriate, but Bond has gave up on us. Kingsman is for us now.bjmdds wrote:FBF, for 10 years you have been doing battle with Broccoli and Pascal, deeming them the enemy, and I agreed. You know they ruined the franchise. We cannot overlook this action. Brosnan has gone 'Anakin' with Pascal being his Darth Sidius. You cannot defend this after 10 years of wanting Pierce vindicated for his firing by Pascal and Broccoli. Brosnan is now persona non grata to me. If NM2 ever gets done, and he continues to push for Elba as Bond, against everything you and I both know is wrong, he can get lost for all I care. Brosnan has capitulated to the whims of Pascal's vision for Bond.......that is all we now need to know. Brosnan had better recant his statement, not me.
