Re: Cowboys & Aliens
Possibly that a film called Cowboys & Aliens ought to have some aliens in it?CaptainLewis wrote:

Yes, but I thought they would be more subtle about it. I thought shooting down an UFO was OTT and ruined the mystery.Kristatos wrote:Possibly that a film called Cowboys & Aliens ought to have some aliens in it?CaptainLewis wrote:

Re: Cowboys & Aliens
I notice that Danny Boy doesn't speak much in the trailer. Were they worried that audiences might laugh at his attempt at an American accent?

It's a kooky concept but it sounds like a fun ride. And it has a good cast. So I might check this out. Should be good cheese.
Re: Cowboys & Aliens
It's got dud written all over it. Kinda like Tin Tin.The first trailer was promising, but the second=hot mess.
Re: Cowboys & Aliens
The MPAA has rated the film PG-13 for "intense sequences of western and sci-fi action and violence, some partial nudity and a brief crude reference."

SO Craig is barely in it ?Kristatos wrote:and a brief crude reference."

Re: Cowboys & Aliens
Saw it last night. Not a bad way to pass a couple of hours, but I wouldn't recommend anybody put it on their "must watch" list. Daniel Craig and his facial expression actually worked quite well as a taciturn Man With No Name type. Original choice Robert Downey Jr is unquestionably a better actor than Craig, but oddly enough, I'm not convinced that he would have been better in this particular role, as it's one of those cases where a certain amount of woodenness actually helps.
Not sure what "brief crude reference" the MPAA was talking about.

Re: Cowboys & Aliens
Watched this turd last week. I’d not read any reviews prior to watching so was surprised that Daniel Craig wasn’t cast as an Alien.
“I'd like to thank the Royal Marines for bringing me in like that and scaring the s--- out of me,” Bond Hardman Daniel Craig.

Re: Cowboys & Aliens
Luckily you didn't have to pay any money for it..that's the sort of movie that winds up in the $5 bins pretty fast.bjmdds wrote:I was given the dvd bootleg. It's still in my closet. I never watched it.

Re: Cowboys & Aliens
Hollywoodies have gone beserk They need to find a macho director with no liberal political agendas for ALL action films; however, in Hollywoodie, that's not easy. Cr-egg deserves to be run out of town on that Cowboys And Alien rail Welcome here

Bring back Bond!
Re: Cowboys & Aliens
If liberals were prevented from making action movies, then Dirty Harry and Lethal Weapon, to name but two, would have had different directors, with no guarantee that they would have been as good.bjmdds wrote:Hollywoodies have gone beserk They need to find a macho director with no liberal political agendas for ALL action films; however, in Hollywoodie, that's not easy.
