So the whoring of the series for awards has been a sucess? Now, can we have a classic (proper classic, not SF faux classic) Bond next...

The old classic Bond is done. Like BJ said, watch westerns instead.

Bond will be back and I don't care who makes it. If Babs and MGW manage it I don't care. I don't understand how Craig can ruin 40 years and 20 movie he was never in.

He could be black or Oriental (no, I'm not discriminating ethnic folks) and yet still more Bondian than DC is.
If Babs and MGW manage it I don't care.
I'm not supporting these guys unless they cast wrestlers, ethnic actors, or any other direct opposites of old classic Bonds.

If by some miracle Cavill gets the job as the 7th 007 in 2021, will you then be happy FBF and rejoice in the selection?

That's crazy. I mean they are doing this now sowhy not go to Skyfall? If that is you criteria. if EON can back the real Bond I'll be there buying a ticket. Its no use being pissed at them for firing a man 8 years ago., a guy who apparently is on talking terms with eon. Why punish eon if they finally so the right thing ?

Are you F*CKING serious????????? BRINGING BACK A CLASSIC BOND WHEN DC'S BOND MAKES HISTORY????? You want a list? Here it is:

*Skyfall breaks QOS' US opening weekend record.
*DC's Bond beats the vampires, Middle-Earth creatures, and especially the Bat to the pulp at the box office (although the Bat is lucky in the US).
*Skyfall strikes a billion.
*Skyfall makes over $300 million in the US.
*Skyfall got 5 Oscar nominations (all technical) while none of Pierce's got any (not even technical).

BJ.....are you saying that the B1tch should get away with this, especially when you got minions out there who are SOOO full of themselves with DC Bond's success as well as blaming Pierce as they don't care if he has no control over the things he was given? Based on this, it's a waste of time to root for the old classic Bond to return, especially when you have the B1tch conquering the franchise. She wants Idris or someone in the likes of him. Let's give it to her. I like to see the classic Bond return as much as you do, but with all this record breaking from DC's so-called three-times-the-charm Bond movie, we'll go for ethnic actors, wrestlers, or any other direct opposites of the classic Bond. This is not for us but for those minions. They say looks don't count so let's give it them. Henry, Fassbender, Hoult, and other classic Bond look actors should find something else better to do. Like you said BJ, it's all about Westerns. Adding to this, watch Dr. Who, which turns 50 this year.

Idris Elba may be black, but if he take on Bond, he would have more charisma than DC is. Plus, he's around 6 feet. Just imagine if he becomes Bond and DC gets bashed.

Speaking RDJ, he is 5'9'' or 5'10, which is few inches shorter than Bond's height in the books and the pre-reboot films.

Quantum of Solace got lukewarm reviews so maybe Bond 24 will get lukewarm reviews too because people will compare it unfavorably to the "masterpiece" Skyfall and there will be a shorter gap between 23 and 24 so it will not be as big an event. Then we can get the champagne out and watch a Bond film again.
Bring back Bond!

FBF, if you get Idris as Bond, why not Robyn Hilton http://www.perfectpeople.net/photo-pict ... 308102.jpg as a Bond girl? She achieved fame with her assets in Blazing Saddles in 1974 :!: Why not bring her out of retirement and truly corrupt the new Bond in 2021?

But with Brozza at the helm in so-called `classic Bond', he didn't make all the headlines and broke records like Craig is doing. What makes you so sure another actor in the role can do this?

I have to say, Craig is becoming a hard act to follow. Once he leaves, I think EON will have a tough job replacing him. I realise this is not the kind of opinion you guys want to hear on here, but I'm saying it as I see it. I think Craig really is on a par with Connery, in terms of making the role so much his own, audiences will have a tough time accepting someone else in the role once he's gone.

It's on DVD Tuesday I suppose is why. BTW it will be ultraviolet too, probably one of the first MGM films to be part of UV. All the other bond films are not yet on Uv. They can be bought at the iTunes Store

No matter who is bond the next one should break the previous record. Google 2002 and see the massive blockbuster DAD was triumphed as. Brosnan was the first to get the billion dollar bond tag.

I don't think Craig will be hard to replace at all, I don't think he is the image selling the role, not really. A few emo fans might be upset but most movie fans will be going just to see the new guy, if it a return to classic looks and attitude I think it will do even better.

Besides with the ticket prices going the way they are expect billion dollar franchise movies as a regular fact of life. The uk will go bananas for each Bond movie no matter what, might not be as much but who knows you guys were paying $20 or more a ticket for sky fall.

Bond sells not the actor so much, Craig indelible mark is so far three origins movies ripping of three or four more popular franchises. Not that tough an act to follow.

So what ever actor will be making history, I just mentioned brosnan making records and all kinds of praise for dad, it comes with the job all anybody will remember is who is getting praise at the moment, if bond 24 does this kind of Bo it washes away spy falls mark if bond #7 can do 2 billions, a real possibility if he is four or more years away nobody will care what the retired gym coach did.

Like I said, I want the classic Bond to be back as much as you do but to bring back him when DC's Bond has made history? No way. You can't bring something back when the franchise is contaminated with madness. Let's we bring Henry into the game. Will the general public separate DC from the classic Bond by then? No, they won't. Why? Because DC has made history like Sweeney (No, I'm saying I have join him along with those minions or anything) said. And now let's say Idris joins in as Bond. Will the general public separate DC from the Bond we know. In the long run, possibly. At this rate, anyone can be Bond now. The general public accepts DC, an average height odd-looking Bond. Sooner or later, they might as well accept a black Bond or an overgrowth muscled Bond (as he is played by a WWE wrestler).
