Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Maybe but TDKR was crippled by a nut soothing the audience, scaring many off. I went opening weekend because of the sheep factor and people being too willing to give in to fear. Honestly I would of done it for bond if the same thing had happened.

Forget the traditional tall and dark-haired white James Bond. He doesn't fit into Babs' world based on the madness we're in today.bjmdds wrote:At this rate, it's Idris or bust in 2021.

At least it is treatable, I've know some who had Hodgkin lymphoma very treatable. Still scary as hell.

Yeah. I don't know what I was thinking, I was going on the idea TDKR is only 1 billion and it is very close now. And if that nut hadn't did what he did it would be a lot more.Napoleon Solo wrote:Worldwide or U.S.? As I said many times....no reason to hope the classic Bond will return. Instead, send in ethnic actors to do the Bond role, considering DC has made history with this virus. If you want to support a British franchise, Dr. Who is here with us.Napoleon Solo wrote:Skyfall projected to reach $1 billion ticket sale mark today.

I see 'SF' has now joined the $1 billion club.
I must admit, that i thought that if 'SF' was well received it might of got to around $800 mil, but $1 bill, is quite an achievement.........and China is still to come!
Its quite a big leap up from CR and QOS, it therefore goes to highlight, that QOS really underperformed given its big opening weekend grosses.
I also hear that 'SF' has apparently reached the £100 mil mark in the UK, the first film to do so......ever!

Sky fall hit 14 on the all time chart but nonw of the other are adjusted for 2012, they almost never do it anyway.English Agent wrote:I see 'SF' has now joined the $1 billion club.

The UK giving 158 million and the US Canada giving $290 is the real tipping point.
QOS with out those three countries was $347 million, Spyfall $553 million, yes there is a international increase not counting US,Can, UK, but it's not crazy big like in those three countries. Out of curiosity I hope Mazer will do the country by country break down.
This weekend numbers: Went up to top7 not because this is 40 is worth a crap but to show what Lincoln is still doing, not quite Taken 2 but for less the 2000 theaters it is still kicking but. Hobbit is making a comeback if it can take another week of $10 mil days it will be on its way to 300 US. Django? er, not sure what to make of this one, most raciest film ever? Not?
1 The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey WB $32,920,000
2 Django Unchained Wein. $30,688,000
3 Les Miserables (2012) Uni. $28,027,000
4 Parental Guidance Fox $14,800,000
5 Jack Reacher Par. $14,010,000
6 This Is 40 Uni. $13,186,000
7 Lincoln BV $7,509,000

Unbelievable what people perceive as quality. The film stunk. Enjoy the franchise the next 6 years EA with DC. Go see The Lone RangerEnglish Agent wrote:I see 'SF' has now joined the $1 billion club.

"Yeah why is a guy that looks like a thug popular as Bond? Sign of the times."
"I just can't see why this film is so popular. I was disappointed."
"Incredible- the world is populated by people with the intelligence of 10 year olds. This totally contrived, hashed over plot with ridiculous heroes and villains was absolutely laughable. I think you could have taken out every word of dialogue and its gross sales would have doubled."

BJ......I recommend you to take a look at Dr. Who. The classic Bond is dead, and he's not coming back.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
EA I watched Taken 2, I enjoyed it despite all my bitching about it lingering at the BO. 6/10 it did what it was intended to do and didn't clutter it up. No idea why it haunted it like the undead

I've tried to watch Dr. Who a few times(the more recent episodes) but can't get into it-though I did TiVo the Christmas episode-which I haven't watched yet-out of curiosity.
