Hm, I just realized I may know those who know where Wilson and Babs live

Hmm, that's a dangerous bit of knowledge to have!

I just had a good laugh over at AJB where someone opened a thread about "who is the least beautiful Bond girl". I won't get into details since that thread got pretty, ahem, sex-oriented pretty fast BUT the thing that made me laugh was that a couple mentioned Eva Green and one of the fanboys, flabberghasted, said "What, are you serious, would you kick her out of bed?". And a guy who yet hadn't posted, whose dislike for her I am very familiar with, just posted in reply: "YES".

I obviously posted saying I didn't count being a girl but I felt exactly the same... and that YES I WOULD KICK DANIEL CRAIG OUT OF BED!

And, I'm finally heading to bed with my chapter of CR to read before closing my eyes and I almost tripped over laughing, this is ALL for you BJ. Title of the chapter "A CRAG-LIKE FACE"   I can't stop laughing! I swear Fleming was on to you

I wouldn't rate Vesper very high at all. Not to the likes of the girls from 20 previous films. Or was that he is supposed to run across them later. I was always confused by that. Batman we know will run across Selina Kyle some time. We know Kirk is going to fight Khan(!) sooner or later.

CR does the gay friendly homage to Ursula Andress, I don't think Iron Man would have Tony Stark surrounded by models and not bedding at least one of them. Instead do reverse discrimination skit making fun of Iron Man history. Unless god forbid EON get their hands on the rights, then will have a moody "I hate life" gritty realistic action story about a man with a glowing electric heart and flying armor ;)

Rosamund Pike & Halle Berry from DAD are kind of casting a Bond movie should have. Denise Richards is a example of what to avoid. She could easily be cut out of TWINE to no loss. Sophie Marceau was perfect in her role we would have never missed Dr Christmas (whoever thought up that name should be fired as well).

In CR's defense one word CaterinaMurino ;) d**n underused :cuss: Almost as if she was cast before they knew what kind of movie they were making. Seeing here I almost expect Pierce to walkover to her.

I just don't want to see HP 7 (Part 2) nosedive at the US box office like Part 1 (which should have earned higher than it is now) was. Part 2 deserves to break box office records, especially here in the US.

Fear not FBF, HP7 (pt2) will do amazing numbers. I don't know anyone who isn't waiting for it.
The Harry Potter films are truly amazing films, and a series that can be enjoyed by fans young and old, time and time again.
Much like the Bond films used to be.
Yes they had a formula, and we all knew Bond would save the day. But that was part of their charm. They stuck to a tried and tested routine, and fans and the public alike enjoyed them. They were solid all round entertainment, that all could enjoy.
In recent times, they have got messed up, and are part of the mess of action films that are all the same. Once upon a time the Bond films stood out. Nowadays other action films do it better.
I recall walking out of Quantum Of Boredom and hearing other people saying how rubbish it was. In hindsight I should have asked for my money back.
False advertising. They claimed it was a James Bond film. I beg to differ.

I badly wanted to see Part 2 breaking more box office records, especially here in the US.

Ah, NOW we're talking. As an Italian, I was d**n proud of Caterina Murino. Who ACTUALLY looked like a Bond girl is supposed to look like! Of course, she would have overshadowed Mr Crag face, so she was done and dealt with in 2 minutes (an utter travesty.. they should have switched the actresses. Murino as Vesper and Eva Green out of our screens in 2 minutes, would have been a way better movie.) Oh yeah, Pierce should have walked over to Murino.. and we would have seen a really fine love scene with an actual James Bond and an actual Bond girl! But no, we get the slim light blue swimming trunks instead... with an orangey-skinned (fake tan, and he also got sunburned in between filming, remember?) gym-inflated dude who looks like a CHAV instead of looking like Bond.

Glad you don't rate Eva Green high at all... I thought she was the worst Bond girl ever, simply for the fact she had to play the most important Bond girl in the books and she looked and acted completely wrong for the part.

LOL Christmas Jones was possibly the worst-written Bond girl, but since she had no importance, I rank her above Eva Green. And at least she was really cute and had nice makeup. Unlike Green.

I cannot stand Denise Richard's role in DAD. Horrific casting for Pierce. It was not his fault, it was again, Eon's! Clueless people doing constant damage to the franchise. For me, Bond has been on hiatus since just prior to Madonna singing DAD. I liked the opening sequence of DAD, then it went downhill fast, yet did big numbers then.

I don't think Ian Fleming meant for Vesper to be wearing panda bear makeup :P Book! Vesper is much more preferrable. She's always looking over her shoulder paranoid that she was being followed. Film! Vesper was more interested in boinking Bond.

Not even, because it looked rancid rather than passionate and romantic at the same time (reminder that for once there are supposedly FEELINGS being involved... not that Craig or Green let ANY of that transpire appropriately, let it be clear). It was a Harlequin romance cheesy scene of about 5 seconds with them supposedly falling in love with uber cheesy Arnold score. Then tasteless sex scene innuendo. Fleming is rolling in his grave. As is Cubby. Where is the classy, subtle yet SEXY Bond style that we're supposed to get in Bond movies? Oh right, it died at "Do I look like I give a d**n?" Or at "I thought Christmas only came once a year". Poor Pierce having to say that. And yet, that was still CONSIDERABLY better than Eva Green and the Craigster.

LOL BJ you're mixing it up, Denise Richards was Elektra King's alter ego (as in "good" Bond girl as opposed to villain). She was horrible acting-wise BUT at least she WAS pretty and did have the appropriate looks for a Bond girl. Unlike Eva Green. Anyhow bad, just like DAD. DAD was good in the first half and the Cuban part. As soon as they moved back to London (cue invisible car) and then the ice palace, it just all went downhill real fast, I agree.

Note to self: make sure to have had appropriate facial a couple of days before meeting BJ in NYC if that ever happens.

Did you know that you are on EON's top ten most wanted list.........and i don't mean as a replacement for Craig or is it Cr...egg'. :D :D

I've read today that it looks like Sony, are back in the Bond game as distributors for Bond 23!

Personally, I'm more concerned with hoping that it breaks the pattern of even-numbered Potter films sucking, The best entries in the series were all odd-numbered ones: 3, 5 and 7. 1 was Chris Columbus, and therefore sucked a bit, but it at least provided a servicable introduction to the series, and had the virtue of some great casting, whereas the second just coasted off the back of the first (though to be fair, the same is true of the source novel).

DH1 is now the second highest of the series, and it should have earned more than it really is now. DH2 deserves to end up in the high note not only as the best and the highest grossing film of the series but also the highest grossing film of 2011 both domestically and globally. Here are the reasons: Potter is finishing his time saving the world, this year is the 10 year anniversary of the franchise, and also......to make DC's Bonds look a piece of trash that should be thrown into a volcano.

In terms of both parts being well-made, Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) said few months ago in the article that DH films will not disappoint.

I thought HP7 would break the 1 billion dollar mark. HP 8 will because it is the last and will have the inflated 3d prices.

Will 3D glasses be required in all theatres or will they charge more for the 3D version of HP7-2?

No and yes. All 3D movies are also released in 2D, but a 3D ticket costs more. I take it you haven't been to a movie theater in a while?

Regarding 3D films.........its a bit of a pain wearing those glasses, as they have to be big enough so they fit over normal spectacles (those that need them), and i find them a bit uncomfortable.

Obviously their first use with 'Avatar' was a bit special, as there was a great deal of 3D images in the film, and it was new to everyone..... but
since then using the glasses with lets say lower quality 3D films doesn't seem to have any real benefit from a cinematic experience point of view.

The prices are a bit of a rip-off, being some £1.50 more than seeing a film in 2D...in fact the total 3D price is somewhere around the £9 mark, for you typical multiplex.

The main thing though is.....with these glasses, everyone wearing them looks like something out of 'The Fly' :D
