It's OK by me that CR did big box office. I respect other's opinions -- it's the best Bond movie; it's the best Bond, etc. But my vote just happens to be the opposite -- even if it's a minority view. A question is how many action fans (non-Bond fans who who like action films in general) vs. Bond fans saw CR?
examples
Action fans/non-Bond fans 80%
Bond fans 20%
or
Action fans/non-Bond fans 30%
Bond fans 70%
I suppose a pollster would have fun by classifying the target:
serious fan, semi, casual ....

But you can't tell me people weren't impressed with Craig's interpretation of Bond. CR had great word of mouth which was undoubtedly one of the factors that led to its financial success.

It hasn't made $3 billion at the box office.....carl stromberg wrote:I'm not sure that Craig has the cult value to be a "Seagal/Jet Li/Statham etc" action star; and I'm not sure that he has the looks/charm/humour etc to be a James Bond. Imagine my surprise when Casino Royale made $3 billion at the box office.....
