Re: DCinB headquarters January 2009
Posts like the OP make me want QOS to be a critical and commercial failure. Or failing that, for Nash to hate it, so that he has a crisis of faith. But of course that would never happen, because even if it was a shot-for-shot remake of DAD, Nash, Sweeney et al would somehow convince themselves that it was a work of cinematic genius.

Yet it's ok for folk on here to post childish, silly pics that are supposed to be Craig lookalikes. That's ok, is it?Kristatos wrote:Posts like the OP make me want QOS to be a critical and commercial failure. Or failing that, for Nash to hate it, so that he has a crisis of faith. And if QOS is anything remotely like DAD, I will be the first person on here to condemn the film to hell. I've already gone on record saying that before on here, and on MI6. I don't have blind faith in EON after just one great film. The painful Brosnan memories are still heavily lodged in my brain, and will take another great film (at least) before I start to have that kind of faith in EON.

Looks more like the Official Daniel Craig merchandising and memorabilia store.Captain Nash wrote:A quick look into the future here.

Yes, it's true, you have. I should probably remove your name from that. Not so sure about Nash, though. The Sweeney wrote: And if QOS is anything remotely like DAD, I will be the first person on here to condemn the film to hell. I've already gone on record saying that before on here, and on MI6.

So normally you don't, which means you do want it to be a critical and commercial success. Wow, I had no idea you recently became a pro-Craig. Welcome to the club!Kristatos wrote:Posts like the OP make me want QOS to be a critical and commercial failure.
Re: DCinB headquarters January 2009
I'm not pro-Craig, but I want the Bond franchise to continue. Daniel Craig isn't going to be Bond forever, and besides, I want the film to be good, even if I don't like the choice of lead actor.stockslivevan wrote:So normally you don't, which means you do want it to be a critical and commercial success. Maybe Nashy ought to have a look around the internet and on forums like Absolutely James Bond, CommanderBond and the James Bond newsgroup where he will find lots of intellegent critical comments on the new direction of Bond.
The anti-Craig counter revolution had begun.

The most famous and well known Anti-Craig site has 300 registered members with 12 people posting and six consistently showing up on a daily basis is a revolution?
Good luck.

A start that was 3 years in the making? DCINB would be lucky to have a thousand members by the end of Craig's tenure.

We're not the place that can't be named-we don't brag about how many posters we have and act like our doo doo doesn't stink. And that is a GOOD thing, IMO.

You mean there are others? What sort of "James Bond" would anger people so much that they are motivated to start their own sites!stockslivevan wrote:The most famous and well known Anti-Craig site has 300 registered members with 12 people posting and six consistently showing up on a daily basis is a revolution?

I'm glad this forum is here, as it means that smug people on the other forums cannot claim that everyone loves Craig as Bond because there is no alternative viewpoint.
I think that many people have said: "Barbara's little odd-looking "close friend" is going to be Bond for the forseeable future" so have washed their hands of Bond for the time being.
Bring back Bond!
