May 28, 1908 – August 12, 1964
I hate it when people talk about dead celebrities birthdays Elvis lived so long and no more, Queen Elizabeth lives so long and no more. I don't see a point to endlessly eulogizing sombody.
Ian Fleming lived to be 56 years old, far too young to die.
May be I'm a bit of a hypocrite but here it goes
On the 100th anniversary of Ian Fleming's birth I say we take a moment to remember the man, say cheers and thanks for all of the enjoyment and adventure he brought to out lives. I know that in his life time he could never have envisioned the impact his writing and imagination would have on teh world.
Cheers Ian!

Chief of Staff, 007's gone round the bend. Says someone's been trying to feed him a poisoned banana. Fellow's lost his nerve. Been in the hospital too long. Better call him home.

He died quite young. Conceivably he could have lived into the late 1980's. I wonder what impact that would have had on the cinema series and the novels. Rex Stout dashed of 40 + Nero Wolfe adventures. Ian Fleming could have done the same.FormerBondFan wrote:I wish Fleming is still around.
