No, it isn't true at all, just a tabloid rumour. I can't believe that anyone took it seriously. Next they'll be telling us that Richard Pryor once had a major role in a Superman film or that craggy British character actor Daniel Craig is going to audition for James Bond. These things just don't happen in reality.

Unfortunately for you, Craig did audition for Bond, landed the part, and apparently was a big success (so they tell me.
