Daniel Craig is Oscar's best dressed.

The Best Dressed (Daniel Craig), Worst Dressed (Eddie Murphy), and 13 lessons learned from last night's Academy Awards.

It's easy to look great in a tux--provided you've got a well-tailored suit, resist the urge to make a fashion statement, and avoid the dreaded notch collar. Sadly, this year's Academy Awards were either an homage to valet parking (if you were under 30) or outtakes from a Sicilian wedding, though there were a few success stories.

Genetics play a role. Not everyone can look as good as Daniel Craig, who was the night's best-dressed man. But then again, some people didn't help themselves out much either, like Eddie Murphy, who was a train-wreck in a suit that that was not only off-color, but ill-fitting as well.

Over the following 13 pages we present a few lessons direct from the red carpet.

The Best Dressed: Daniel Craig
"He looks perfect. He had a great tailor--it's actually tailored--and the proportions are spot-on. He looked comfortable in it. All that time spent in a tux as James Bond clearly paid off."

He looks very short next to Nicole Kidman who is 5'10. If she is 6'0 in shoes then his 5'11 looks generous. His tuxedo seems to be at least one size too short but God bless Esquire magazine anyway. I'm sure they've never had any connection with Daniel Craig or Barbara Broccoli.

He still looks awkward dressed up. :?
And short... Or she is on a platform –the shoes maybe?

I don't see the cool image Connery perfected –might be better strait on and not from above.
Nothing against Craig but he looks uncertain -like he is waiting for someone to call him out.
He does look better here than he did in the movie.
Make them serious nudes!

Oh yes, that old theory again. How can anyone possibly like Craig without being given a back-hander by Babs.....

He looks better than before. The hair?
But he still reminds me of Peter Weller

What's a notch collar?

Daniel Craig's appearance does not invoke “Bondlike” for many people.
His appearance at the Oscars proves how divided the fans are.
Our friends (and Craig’s) here are quick to post a Esquire article with picture and praise Daniel.
Esquire’s approval comes as no surprise, they have been lobbing for Daniel since August.
Here is how Daniel appeared to an average American guy:
If you play James Bond like Daniel Craig does, it ought to be written into your contract that you can't be accompanied to present an award by a woman who's taller than you. Seeing Nicole Kidman towering over James Bond really made me discount Craig's ability to save the world or even defeat any madman taller than 5-feet-4. Hopefully for Craig's sake the next Bond movie is set in North Korea.

Nicole Kidman must over 6 feet in heels so that pair-up didn't do Danny any favours. Where did that quote come from Blowfeld?

It was part of his review of the Oscars.
