In the U.S., it will be out on Nov. 6, 2015, the same date as Ant Man, which will be the first Marvel movie after The Avengers Part 2 in May 2015.
Re: Official: Mendes returns for Bond 24
As I said on another thread, Ant-Man will move. If it was one of the big hitters like Spiderman, Disney/Marvel might stick to their guns, but I really don't think they'll put a non-sequel featuring a second-tier superhero in a head-to-head with Bond after the success of Skyfall.Napoleon Solo wrote:In the U.S., it will be out on Nov. 6, 2015, the same date as Ant Man, which will be the first Marvel movie after The Avengers Part 2 in May 2015.

That's certainly possible. Just pointing out how things stand at the moment.Kristatos wrote:As I said on another thread, Ant-Man will move. Predictable as Skyfall made billions of dollars. I hated it.

Bond is dead. The classic Bond is dead. What's left is a virus designed to corrupt the general public (the younger audience in particular) that Craig Bond matters. If Bond is not dead, then he's a freakin' Z.The Old Fakir wrote:Predictable as Skyfall made billions of dollars. I hated it.

Surely to god this is Craig's last film. And yes, Skyfall does split opinion on a lot of the general film fanboy boards. I don't know what those critics were watching when they raved about it last year.

Bond 24 is a 2 parter it seems with DC signed on for at least 2 more films, including 24 and 25.
Re: Official: Mendes returns for Bond 24
I thought they'd abandoned the 2-parter idea?bjmdds wrote:Bond 24 is a 2 parter it seems with DC signed on for at least 2 more films, including 24 and 25.

Re: Official: Mendes returns for Bond 24
Is that official?
Re: Official: Mendes returns for Bond 24
I'd have to dig up the story again in order to be sure, but I think so.bjmdds wrote:Is that official?
Edit: after googling the story, the answer seems to be no. Some sources say it is, some say it isn't, but nothing from the official Facebook page or Twitter feed to say one way or the other. In one interview, Craig said he wasn't sure he'd even do Bond 25, but he's got our hopes up before, so I'm not breaking out the champagne just yet.

So the series will continue up it's own waste disposal unit?

Re: Official: Mendes returns for Bond 24
I thought Craig signed for at least three more Bonds. . . after Quantum of Solace (which still made a ton of bucks despite being almost as bad as Man With The Golden Gun) and during the prep for the wretched Skyfall Craig made noises like he should never have taken the role . . . maybe after he read the dreadful script for Skyfall and thought it would be another critical bomb . . . then changed his mind a billion Skyfall dollars later . . . the only thing Skyfall had going for it was cinematography . . . I still try to like Casino Royale 2006, but I have to stifle a laugh every time I see Craig as Bond and then on top of that Evil Green destroyed the rest of the flick with her non-acting

Re: Official: Mendes returns for Bond 24
I'm not really surprised to see how careless I am about this subject. Yes, fellas. Those Cr-egg fanboys and fangirls (no offence to anyone in here but to the people who see Cr-egg as the only one who exists) don't want anything but those emoist and manic depressive materials sandwiched into one. It's gonna be just like Sk-Awful. So, why should I bother watching it? I'd sooner go and see every other Marvel movie than watch a "modern" Cr-egg movie. They want to explore Cr-egg's "emotional and feminine" side, so what do you expect? Nothing. Just a pathetic and pointless soap opera that appeals only to emos and modern-day teenagers. So, like I said, who cares?

Re: Official: Mendes returns for Bond 24
So what is it going to be now? Creggster to fall in love with a woman who turns out to be Judi Dench's daughter and they decide to recreate the emoism and the side story aspect of OHMSS? As it's being a two parter movie, Craig's wife dies in the first one and he avenges her in the second one? Yeah. Soap Opera to the max!!!!
