Mark Gatiss and Dr Matthew Sweet debate the question "Who was the best James Bond?" I haven't watched it yet, so I apologise in advance if either of them said Craig. I believe you have to be in the UK to watch:

Sorry. I'm sure there are ways around the limitation, but I don't have the technical know-how to tell you what they are.

Re: Premium Bond
Just watched it. There's nothing out of the ordinary, they praise each Bond. Gattis is clearly a Bond film, knowing a lot of info that only a fan would know.
A few snippets about what they say about Dalton.
- Gattis says he saw TLD 3 times in it's opening weeks.
- Gattis comments that in the PTS, when Bond turns around, Dalton looks "amazing".*
- They also call the velcro lapels being Dalton's "thing".
- Gattis calls Dalton the prototype Daniel Craig.
* I found myself nodding to this one.
So who is the best? Sweet thinks it's Dalton. Due to the complexity, the edge and the brutality of Timothy Dalton. Gattis calls Dalton the connoisseurs Bond, but calls Connery the best.

Re: Premium Bond
I think he and Moffat both are, judging by the number of Bond references in their Sherlock and Doctor Who scripts. I wish someone would hire one or both of them to write a Bond film.Daltonite Toothpaste wrote:Just watched it. There's nothing out of the ordinary, they praise each Bond. IMO dalton is light years beyond Craig glad he is getting some recognition . I agree about the PTS and dalton nailing bond when he was finally revealed .

Re: Premium Bond
I finally saw it. They were nicer about Craig than I would have been, but they seemed to be concentrating on the positives for all the Bonds, and they didn't go overboard with it, so I'll cut them some slack.
