Dr. No, always the best place to start.

Casino Royale is on twice so they must be showing both versions.

I would have thought that the gadget-heavy DAD, with its genetically manipulated villain, would be a better fit for the Sci-Fi channel than CR, though.

I know, right! CR was on last night. I left the TV on SyFy when it was on.Luckily my nephews didn't see it was on otherwise they would have been watching.

Apoliogies for arguing with myself here, but on second thoughts, maybe CR is a good fit for SyFy after all. Part of the reason for the change of name, and why they're showing things like James Bond films in the first place, is that the head of the channel has a long-standing reputation for being slightly embarrassed by actual science fiction, dismissing it as marginal stuff for nerds (ignoring the fact that Star Wars is the second biggest grossing film of all time, after Gone with the Wind, when adjusted for inflation - if that's not mainstream, I don't know what is). That sort of mutual contempt for their core audience means that SyFy and the Craig Bonds are actually a match made in heaven.

Apt analogy. Surfing the channels I thought SYFY was a LOGO type channel.

There is a really bad joke in there, involving SyFy,Logo(which my parents have on their digital cable!), and the Bond films, but I can't think of it right now!

Can't remember or shouldn't say? ;)

The only one we watched was GE, which holds up remarkable well considering. I did see a few moments of CR and it reminded me 1. how depressing that film is and 2. how badly it is aging.
