I can't wait. But at the same time, I think Smith (who is in my top 3) could have had another full series easily.

Regeneration trauma? Or new personality?

A bit of both. He was definitely suffering from regeneration trauma, but we also got a pretty good idea of how Capaldi is going to play The Doctor.Blowfeld wrote:Regeneration trauma? Or new personality?

It could have been better. The drioids were a bland monster/villain.

Re: Series 8 Aug 2014!!
Sometime it is recorded out of order allowing the actor to get a feel for his Doctor then come back to the introductory episode.
I agree the villain was tame, I'm not certain we know how this Doctor will shake out. Hope they do not follow the Valyard Trial of a Time Lord rubbish.
Did the lady at the end claiming the Doctor was her boyfriend cause anyone else to think of the Rani?
I liked the cameo with Matt, I'm unsure if it detracted from the episode. Althou it was a great use of Peter in the 50th special.

Good ratings. Apparently the next two shows have leaked. I wonder if if is on purpose sounding out the hard core fans on an older Doctor, they haven't hired a middle aged looking Doctor since Maggie Thatcher was in power.

Re: Series 8 Aug 2014!!
This weeks episode was set in some place called Bristol. Never heard of it.
Re: Series 8 Aug 2014!!
Don't think it was filmed here, though. At least I didn't recognise any of the locations. And the less said about the cast's attempts at Bristol accents, the better!Capt. Sir Dominic Flandry wrote:This weeks episode was set in some place called Bristol. Never heard of it.

I was a bit sceptical about the new Doctor but I enjoyed the series and his performance.
