But then you go and insult Cavill with a claim like the above. You're probably unaware that most people here would be more than happy to have him as the next Bond! This is just FYI. Please stop it with the ridiculous Cavill insults? Just please? And by the way, since I'm a woman, if there's a thing Cavill has in spades, it's masculinity and sexiness. Typical Bond attributes.
Quite alot of woman (aside from Babs) actually say the same thing about Craig, Ale.

I seem to recall the above image getting a few ladies all dizzy and weak at the knees.
As for Bond in Bond 23.
Well you know who I'm sticking with.
But I'm also aboard the Cavill train for Bond #7.

I'm sorry I think you've crossed the line with that one Doc.
That's quite offensive.

I don't think I have ever said Craig is not masculine. Actually I am SURE I have never said Craig is not masculine. I don't find him sexy at all, but that's another matter. The observation from bondnotblonde was about Henry's masculinity mainly, I added the sexiness for Henry just because it's there. The problem with Craig for me is that he is unattractive, and doesn't fit the looks Bond should have, not that he isn't masculine. I don't think you picked the right photo for that though, as that has been around many gay sites too! Not that there's anything wrong with that, God knows how much I love my gay friends. Just probably not the best photo to show off his masculinity. And that.. swimming speedo-like thing really is a no-no for Bond IMO. They should have had at least the decency to have it in black, not that pale blue (that photo has very strong colors, the speedo was light blue, not turquoise!). That said, again, never said Craig isn't masculine. He's just unattractive to me, but that's got nothing to do with masculinity.

And, DEFINITELY Henry for Bond #7. I think hell will freeze if he's cast, as we will all agree on it

The only problem with Craig is that he's wrong for the role...and is rapidly aging out of the role.

Oh I have a sense of humour.
It's double standards that I don't like.
It would appear that it is not okay if anything I post is offensive, yet if I am offended by a post, then I have to get over it. Or anyone else placed in the 'pro-Craig' group.

If Craig decides to quit in the few months (an impossible scenario!!) who are the favourites to take over? Hugh and Clive won't be cast for various reasons, and Henry Cavill is favourite. Who are the other candidates?

There aren't any. Because they don't need any.
Jackman and Owen were never in the running.
Worthington has got to much on...thank the maker
Cavill would possibly be available. He'd certainly jump at the chance one guesses.
And then we'd get all the stupid tabloid rumours.
The first black Bond
The first gay Bond
The first Jane Bond.

please sober up with the Henry Cavill idea..he's clearly a boy, vacuous looking, who couldn't possibly fit into the role of a world weary spy..or anything else other than perhaps a semi finalist on the x factor, or a teenage sidekick in an American rom com...come on! Let's get out there and find someone who will nail this role! How about these for starters....Harvey Arundel, Paul Tramford, Jerry Sadowitz, Harry Crimme, John Ballantine..to name 5 who would be suitable but not TOO well known. LETS GET BACK TO BASICS. My favourite is still jerry sadowitz and you should give him a chance!

Bondnotblonde, please have some manners? Nobody here needs to sober up, we're all aware Cavill would be a great choice for Bond. In case you still didn't realise, and you clearly haven't, Cavill is a choice that sits well with BOTH the "I don't like Craig" people AND the "I do like Craig" people. Ask yourself some questions since you're literally the only one who says certain (completely unmotivated, I would say) things about Cavill here. There has to be a reason for it. And I think it is that you have seen Cavill in precious nothing, and know nothing about him, but you have to say those things about him in order to just offend him for the sake of it. And you go on with that Sadowitz suggestion? If you actually read what's been said to you about that, you would realise that you are taking this a bit too far maybe? It's all fine as long as it's a joke, when this whole thing just becomes an excuse to insult Cavill or offend other people here by telling them to "sober up" then I don't think it's fine anymore.
If Craig decides to quit in the few months (an impossible scenario!!) who are the favourites to take over? Hugh and Clive won't be cast for various reasons, and Henry Cavill is favourite. Who are the other candidates?
I can only think of Henry Cavill as he'd be the perfect fit. I honestly can't come up with anyone else right now. I mean as in viable option. There are people who would fit the role but most of those are too famous, won't accept, cost too much etc. Some people suggested Hugh Dancy but I'm not really convinced he'd be good? I'd vote for Gerard Butler, but he's way too famous now, and between that and his age he'd be in the same position as Jackman and Owen. Hm. Callum Blue? I think he has the attitude and the looks. Hadn't thought about him. He was on the Tudors with Cavill (secondary role) was a lead on Dead Like Me. he could be an alternative I guess. Obviously all these (excluding Butler, Jackman and Owen clearly) are second-rate choices compared to Cavill for me. But still. Some people mentioned the guy who is in Dr Who? I'm not convinced either, but again, it wouldn't be the best possible choice, so one has to settle

Wait, I forgot Matt Bomer. d**n he would be great and he sure has the looks and the perfect attitude (check out White Collar, he's the lead in the show. He really is great). But, two fundamental problems: A)he's American and B)he's gay. The first one excludes him already, the second one would, ahem, not go down too well with a lot of people in the fandom (I couldn't care less about an actor being gay or not, or about a gay actor taking the role of Bond, but we all know that doesn't apply to the majority of Bond fans).

Regardless of when it happens(hopefully after Bond 23!), Craig IS going to leave the role. It'll be interesting to see who is on Babs' list then. Wanting Craig to be Bond forever is ridiculous.I'm almost afraid of fan reactions when he *does* quit.

Now that would be...MAGIC.
We could get Debbie McGee to be the Bond girl.
Bond could dazzle people at the casino with his card tricks.
Brilliant choice.

I can't quite shake the suspicion that bondnotblonde is Sadowitz himself, engaged in some kind of comedy prank, though I'm unclear as to what the purpose of such a prank would be. Say we did all bombard EON with letters demanding that Sadowitz be cast as Bond, what then? Some admin person gets a good chuckle and the letters go straight in the shredder.

I am shocked that there is such a resistace to the idea of sadowitz being Bond, just as much as nyone would think that Cavill, a 28 year old (!) would b eideal for the part!! Yes I can undersatnd young girls and maybe youg gay guys wanting to see him on the big screen, but he would be no more suited to the part than say Matt Damon..too young, too naive.
someghow, I can't quite shake the suspicion that all the "Cavill supporters" are merely his Rada chums trying to ingratiate themselves with Babs herself. A great deal of sobering up needs to be done here...sadowitz is truly the ideal man for the role and it occurs to me that he would do some impressive things in the casino with his card trickery and things. Yes, he's older and would need to use stuntmen..but which actors do not use them? I say, get sadowitz on the table THEN decide.
