Re: Health thread
You either usually take one or the other with those two. I prescribed both many times over the years but not as a combination.

This was a pretty heavy duty infection so not entirely surprised I got 2 antibiotics at once..it ‘s not good for whatever’s *not* wrong though.

Re: Health thread
Blood cultures were positive then. Is your sedimentation rate normal now on a blood test as I assume they checked?

Re: Health thread
Today I learned: Popcorn is healthy..but can be murder on your teeth. I’ve had a toothache for a few days..was PRAYING it wasn’t anything that was going to need dental work..but the hygienist found it when she was cleaning my teeth.

Me too. If you lived anywhere else, I'd advise you to get yourself checked out by a doctor, but I know most Americans can't afford doctors.kater23 wrote:Nope and I hope this is a one and done situation.

Re: Health thread
Best guess is it’s a low blood pressure thing. Gonna talk to my primary care provider when I get the stitches out.The tests I had at the ER CT,blood, heart)were all clear. [Le Chiffre] Noting sinister[/Le Chiffre ]

Re: Health thread
I had stood up, and was in the kitchen making myself a cup of coffee and all of a sudden I fainted!
Seeing the doc a week from tomorrow to get the staples removed.

Re: Health thread
Sounds like orthostatic hypotension, especially if you have low blood pressure to begin with. The blood pressure drops too quickly upon standing up as the blood rushes to the lower extremities. Hopefully it never happens again.
