There was a CBS tv movie of the week like this and it failed even thou it had an intriguing idea of Sherlock freezing himself to see the new millennium and essential had a female 20th century doctor picking up the Watson role. I think it was called 1992 Baker Street. Set in San Francisco and on Baker Street house number 1992. Clever right?
I watched this last year on UK tv channel Channel 5!

1992 Baker Street is good fun.
It did have some clever points, I thought Sherlock was too novel in his adaptation to the new technology, I did like the Moriarty Bros. I think I accept the one off approaches better than the direct adaptations that get it wrong like the new Sherlock Holmes (and Bond) movies .

Favorite Bond Movie: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible, Kingsman: The Secret Service and The November Man or any upcoming actioners starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good since it will help him expand his reputation as an actor especially in the action realm)
Favorite Movies: Star Wars Indiana Jones Star Trek The Dark Knight Trilogy Harry Potter Middle-Earth The Matrix Mission: Impossible The Mummy Jurassic Park Godzilla
Watched His Last Vow last night on catch-up. Towards the end, Mycroft says something like "As my colleague is fond of saying, Britain needs a blunt instrument, but she also needs a scalpel". Which raises the intriguing possibility that Sherlock and Bond inhabit the same fictional universe. Perhaps those jokes about Bond seeing Sherlock on the rooftop at the end of Skyfall were true after all.
