Cinema walkout?

Post by BondFan007 »

Tens of thousands of movie goers walked out of movie
theaters in protest.
Where's this number from? If true, wouldn't have been widely reported? The tabloids would love this kind of thing, but... nothing.

I actually did see people leave the theater before CR finished and not come back.
Did they do it because of DC? –Dunno Could have been bumming til their movie starts.
Make them serious nudes!

I'd like to see some proof of this, or is this Deanna at the old rumor mill again?

Guess we all have different experiences. The cinemas I went to were packed out (3 times) and everyone stayed right to the end.

Hmm, looks like the "facts" of the walkout and boycott were just clutched from free air, I still haven't seen any proof.

Who knows, maybe it was really Deanna Brayton and her 40 Cats it takes to run this website  (God, I should've saved that rant). On a side note, looks like they took it down to me. But guys, a word of advice, doing stuff like this will only create a law suit for you. I am really surprised Eon Productions hasn't sued you guys yet, either that, or they must like all of the promotion you've been giving them. But seriously, you guys need to just need to accept that DC outsold Die Another Day; and if his next two films go over 591 million he'll over pass Connery as Bond.

Connery's Bond took in $4,397,700,000 (inflation adjusted). If Craig next two films took in $561,000,000 he'd have made a respectable $1,773,000,000, but still a little way off Connery's $4 billion.

Oh I see that. Guys, unless you want Eon Productions filing a law suit against you for slander and libel, I'd recomend coming up proof.

It may be nonsense, but how is it libellous?

I don't know if it's still up, but when it was under old leadership, the site did have alot of libellous content about Daniel Craig, I haven't really checked the main site in a while, so it may have been taken down.

Early fan reviews mentioned people walking out.
It's going to happen to any movie.
Do theaters even keep track of stuff like that?

You could say that of any film though.
The much loved Happy Feet would also have more than it's fair share of walkouts.
Millions of them.

So we have established that 10000+ people of the millions worldwide who watched Casino Royale left the cinema early because they didn't like the film.

Where is this thread going?

Well I think the idea here is that the home page states that tens of thousands of people apparently left the cinema during Casino Royale but there is no evidence to suggest that this happened.
If so many people left, why did they buy a ticket to see the film in the first place?
And whether they stayed for 30 seconds or the duration of the film, it all adds to the $593 million box office that Casino Royale has grossed (so far) worldwide.
Yep that boycott really worked wonders.
