Daniel Craig receives 2 million pound bonus!

Post by Captain Nash »

James Bond star Daniel Craig (we're not worthy...we're not worthy) has been given a 2 million pound bonus from his Bond bosses at Eon, according to the telegraph.

Not a bad bonus for a job well done.

His three-picture deal with the company was not said to be especially generous. "It reflected the fact that he was an unknown quantity in the part," a pal of the 39-year-old actor tells me. "This is just to make sure he doesn't now start to feel hard done by."
Sounds like Daniel is getting hard to control.
Perhaps hard feelings on Daniel's part. A bonus like this is seems like an attempt to lull an unhappy actor in to staying.

Which is purely speculation Blowfeld. Craig has been more than enthusiastic about Bond 22 and expressed that with the press. Besides, after the success CR has achieved I believe EON decided to give Craig a prize. It's like Cubby's telling George Lazenby before OHMSS came out "Right now you are not a star. When you become a star, I will treat you like one. Until then, be greatful you were given an iconic role."

Since Craig pulled it off he gets what he deserves.

Sounds like what Brosnan got after GoldenEye. So was Brosnan getting hard to control and needing a pay off to continue as Bond?

When the story is prefaced by "This is just to make sure he doesn't now start to feel hard done by.". Then, Yes it does ;)
How Daniel feel is brought to the forefront and implies he may have felt a bit used.

Out of curiosity where is the reference to Brosnan's 2 million pound bonus for Goldeneye? Being over 10 years ago it's not exactly at the top of the search engine harvest.
