I agree. Why spend money on a movie that you have listed as one of your favorites? It's pure logic!

Please note my comment after it

And quite frankly, why overpay for a movie which, even in the special edition, doesn't have any cool extras?

Greed is of course one of the seven deadly sins.
Can't you just be content to watch the movie?
Do you have to have 'extras' ?
How did you survive before dvds?

So it's a favorite Bond film of yours yet it's not?

Let's make it more simple: Is Quantum of Solace one of your favorite Bond films, YES or NO? Only one of those two can qualify as an answer.

There is nothing wrong with liking Quantum of Solace. Everyone has their opinion! But, katie, it is a bit odd that you gave QOS a good review, and put it on your favourite film list, and still attacked it on a regular basis to wind up other posters on the forum!

Like I said, Carl, fair comment. I don't care if people like it, hate it, flip flop about it, whatever.I just don't like the " you HAVE to like it or ELSE!!!!" mentality(a small minority here it must be said) :P

Quark fell 43% to 9th place last weekend w/$525,197

Code: Select all

Last week Quark totaled $1,400,029 ($525,197 for the weekend + $874,832over the week) $19,969,965 Japan total
As expected Mama Mia! surpassed Quark w/$21,354,501 Japan total in it's fourth week, Quark is in it's fifth week of release there.

Sorry I didn't updated this earlier. I had an occasion to go to concerning natives and beads and the throwing of those beads.

The numbers don't lie  I find it interesting that Mama Mia is doing better than QOS.

Quark has skidded off Japan's top ten. Not unexpected after last weeks #9 ranking.
Mama Mia! is holding at #7 in its 5th week.
Mr Button is holding up well.

Is Mamma Mia now the benchmark to judge Bond movies? I thought we were comparing other Bond films to judge how well QoS fares up, not hit ABBA musical films for women, that includes a secondary role with a previous Bond actor.

How well does Brozza's Bond films compare to Mamma Mia? Is he more successful now, as a bit-part singer, than he was being Bond?

Willy I list Mama Mia! not for the sake of Brozza, rather for the sake of comparison, what the Japanese market will allow for a foreign film.

Movie wise Mama Mia! is a gift to the industry. 50m production cost and made 597m worldwide. Even with the theaters cut and promotional considerations taken out it is a huge windfall.
Quark on the other hand is a bloated waste of space, with wafer thin profit margins.

Dose Brozza being in a huge hit rub salt in your Quark wounds?
Craig can't get hit out side of Bond to save his life. Pierce can.
Pierce was trashed by you and others like you for studio franchise reasons and somehow he still has the audiences attention.
