As opposed to the CHRONIC CRAIG EUPHORIA at MI6 and CB.net Sweener, where the very ground Craig walks on is deemed holy and any counter thoughts to the contrary are deemed blasphemy? Is that what you mean? The Sweeney wrote:Really? I'd call that fairly negative vibes.....

Kris, do you really believe what you just wrote? To me, this is all fun. Do you really think I am in the majority or minority here?Kristatos wrote:I think that's only really BJ.The Sweeney wrote:I believe many on here don't really take this subject that seriously, and there is some light-heartedness with many of the comments, but there are a few on here who have an unhealthy obsession with it, and are desperately looking for any angle to knock Craig, at whatever costs (although thankfully they are in the minority).
Re: Quantum Of Solace smashes Japanese record
I'll say this now... why would they get upset at places like MI6 if they didn't have some sort of vested interest in being linked(however tenuously) with EON? There's freedom of speech there...to a point.

Re: Quantum Of Solace smashes Japanese record
It's just an internet forum where we are giving an opinion. The box office discussions seem to be instigated by those who want to suggest Quantum of Solace was a big success. Someone posts some box office statistics and threads such as: "Quantum of Solace breaks records in x", "Craig now has more admissions than Pierce Brosnan's Bond films". Is no one allowed to debate or dispute such stats?
As for "finding every angle to attack Daniel Craig" people are just giving opinions - i.e. they think Craig is an awful Bond. Is no one is allowed to knock Daniel Craig? Other actors and celebs are routinely mocked.
BJMDDS is mocked by allies and foes alike for mentioning Daniel Craig's run of undistinguished non-Bond films since he became Bond. Why? Brosnan is mocked as a "TV actor". When Craig was cast as James Bond, the main argument for casting someone with his un-Bondlike looks as Bond was that he is a great actor. This argument was put forward again and again. He was drifting into British TV work when he became Bond, and has had a series of flops since Casino Royale. I apologise for pointing this out.

Re: Quantum Of Solace smashes Japanese record
I wasn't really "mocking", I was just making an observation. I think BJ is the only one here who follows Craig's career outside Bond and seems to be rooting for his failure in everything he does. Personally, I respect him for choosing projects based on how much they interest him as an actor rather than how much money they could make him. I just wish he'd applied that to Bond instead of giving in to Babs' badgering.carl stromberg wrote:BJMDDS is mocked by allies and foes alike for mentioning Daniel Craig's run of undistinguished non-Bond films since he became Bond. Actually Carl, you are taking my post too seriously now. The 2 posts I made earlier either had a smile or a wink after them, and weren't meant to be taken that seriously. It was in response to James idea that MI6 was a negative, depressing place, with an inability to experience pleasure, and I made a joke that this site was more fitting that description.carl stromberg wrote:It's just an internet forum where we are giving an opinion. With regards BJ, he is a unique individual, one of a kind. And although he has a serious, personal vendetta against all things Craig, he doesn't have a mean thing to say about any of his fellow members, so for that I can never really be too hard on him. He is a decent guy at the end of the day.....although I am glad he is a unique individual. 2 BJ's on here I don't think I could cope with......

It's all a bit of fun and not to be taken too seriously. I just hope the next Bond actor unites all factions!

On a more serious note, did anyone see that incident last week on the news where BJ tried to throw a shoe at Barbara Broccoli during a press conference?

Ain't that the truth I've said this before, but I feel sorry for whoever takes Craig's place, because he's gonna get grief from Bond fans..they'll find *something* about him to hate.
Re: Quantum Of Solace smashes Japanese record
No Bond actor after Connery, anyway. I think most people are agreed that Connery was the best Bond. Maybe they could replace Craig by putting Andy Serkis in a(nother) motion capture suit and CGIing Connery in his prime over top of himcrusading_saint wrote:No Bond actor has ever done that, and I doubt one ever willI just hope the next Bond actor unites all factions!
