The Moonstone

I've just finished The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins. A really fun book that keeps you gripped right to the end. I think this was a big inspiration for Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes books.

The detective in this novel was clearly the inspiration for Sherlock Holmes. I read this about two years ago and it's a real page turner with some wonderful twists and a great atmosphere. No film version that I'm aware of for some reason.

God bless you Greg for doing a post in the book section. I thought I was alone in here.
