Wow, leading seaman of the Devonshire the title alone would exclude him.
Pity Barbara didn't venture down to the set that day and take fancy to a real bloke who could fill Bond's (and Pierce's) shoes.

EDIT: I was right. Quite obscure. Apparently it was Butler's second acting role. Video is in bad quality though.

I like butler for the role. I think he coulda, shoulda, will make a decent Bond.
