I suggest you to buy the DVD at once! LOL! No, seriously mate, you'll love the first one, specially Malkovich's nutshell moments are priceless, oh and If you never loved Helen Mirren before, her role in this movie will change your mind. The second one is even better than the first one. It's going the same way as Expendables.

A Good Day to Die Hard. The QOS of the Die Hard franchise: lots of shakycam and an incomprehensible plot. By the end, I didn't know who was shooting at who, and didn't really care. At least it was short (around 95 minutes). 2/10.

Well, what do you expect? It's John Moore directing it. So, it's gonna be balderdash. However, Bruce Willis said Die Hardest will be the final installment in the series. I doubt he will be able to do it, because he said he's bored with the action genre.

I've never heard of Moore before, and on looking at his IMDb filmography, I find that this is the first film of his that I'd seen, So I went in without any preconceived expectations.

He also co-wrote and directed Max Payne, which was a full-time humiliation to the video game series. He made a godawful movie out of an awesome video game series.

Yet another movie in the 80s that was making the Moore films look like a joke. Okay, Commando is OTT but it handles it real well and Arnold is believable as a tough guy with a lot of charisma who can deliver one-liners with ease.

*Holds a thug over a cliff*
Arnold: "Hey Sully, remember when I said I'd kill you last?"
Sully: "That's right, you did!"
Arnold: "I LIED."
*drops Sully*
Sully: "AHHHHHH!!!"
*Arnold walks back to the car*
Girl: "Hey, what did you do with Sully?"
Arnold: "I let him go."

 Totally reminds me of early Connery to be honest. Just good delivery.
YES! My fave Arnold film ever.

Late to the party but I finally viewed Star Trek Into Darkness and Iron Man 3 the first crop of summer blockbusters to come to DVD. A little underwhelming after the hype, I like the first movies of each series a little more.

It was odd in the 80s - the blockbusters were 18 certificate violent action films.

They also had great humorous moments, as well. Such as the "paramedic" line in RoboCop. LOL!!

Kris, just bought Pacific Rim on your recommendation, too late to help it at the BO maybe the blu-ray sale will help encourage batter movies. God I hope it doesn't suck ;)

So, what did you think? I personally wouldn't buy a movie I hadn't seen unless it was in the bargain bins, best to rent it first.

Anyway, the last movie I saw was The Adjustment Bureau. Not quite what I was expecting, sort of like an episode of Touched By An Angel filtered through the paranoid vision of Philip K Dick (who wrote the short story on which the film is based). An interesting oddity that doesn't always hit its mark, but gets extra points from me for not being quite like anything else out there. 8/10.

Well, this movie is impossible to be surpassed by any kind of a product that could be made today.

Trick R Treat was recommended as a great Halloween film - and I enjoyed it.
