I think I'm going to go with Thunderball, but On Her Majesty's Secret Service is pretty good too.

Chief of Staff, 007's gone round the bend. Says someone's been trying to feed him a poisoned banana. Fellow's lost his nerve. Been in the hospital too long. Better call him home.

Re: Your favourite 60s opening titles?
Robert Brownjohn's work for FRWL and GF are definitely among the best and most beautiful of the 007 opening titles.stockslivevan wrote:Robert Brownjohn should have done more title sequences.
Maurice Binder on the other hand was perhaps a bit over-rated, many of his opening titles are a bit kitschy, the ones from the 70s and 80s.
I agree that Thunderball is one of the best though, and of course Binder created the iconic gunbarrel intro.

Re: Your favourite 60s opening titles?
My vote goes to You Only Live Twice because I feel that it is a perfect marriage of images with the sounds of the wonderful theme that is sung by Nancy Sinatra.

Re: Your favourite 60s opening titles?
The re-make of Bruce Lee's Game of Death features a Bond-type opening sequence, with John Barry's title song.stockslivevan wrote:Robert Brownjohn should have done more title sequences.
YOLT is a favorite title, along with OHMSS -- of course, I'm partial to the songs, so that helps a lot.
