I guess not. The potential new Bond on the red carpet with his mommy-wife: Image I got tickets to see the Rolling Stones in New Jersey next month at the Metlife Stadium. That is more exciting then waiting for Broccoli to finally tell the world her decision on the infantile choice for Bond.

According to the book "When the Snow Melts", the autobiography of producer Albert R. 'Cubby' Broccoli, Tank force was one of three from Warwick Films which were "released within a year". The three movies were: 'The Man Inside' (1958), 'Killers of Kilimanjaro' (1959), and 'Tank Force!' aka 'No Time To Die' (1958). The movie's alternate UK title, "No Time to Die", would later be used as the title of the twenty-fifth James Bond film in the official series. The picture is the first film from production house Warwick Films, a company helmed by producers Irving Allen and Albert R. Broccoli during the 1950s, to be used as a James Bond movie title. Terence Young directed it and Richard Maibaum wrote it and Luciana Paluzzi was in it to boot. Image

Wonder what Cubby would think of them recycling a possible title like that.

O.J. Simpson, the American football star and actor who was acquitted in a sensational 1995 trial of murdering his former wife but was found responsible for her death in a civil lawsuit and was later imprisoned for armed robbery and kidnapping, has died at the age of 76 from prostate cancer. The Browns and the Goldmans must have deep thoughts today.

Wasn't his trial also responsible for inflicting the whole Kardashian brood upon us?

Didn't he announce his retirement a few years ago? If it's true that Brofeld was his idea, that's probably not a bad thing. Senility is a terrible affliction.

I think he has said as much, turn it over the his kids and stuff like that.

He’s had some very bad bond ideas, not as bad as Babs . He didn’t like cr or Craig but went along , Craig second movie was supposed to be a mgw script cubby threw away in the 80s to early 90s. Honestly cubby nepotism come through when mgw had more input, you can see it , definitely in the 80s, perhaps before that.

But the thing that bugs me about the cast talk if the paid for news rumor blurb click bait thingy acts like Craig era was “real” I’d argue it was even more fantasy oriented than the previous series.
If you want Ian Fleming’s bond as in the original few books before Connery was cast, it’s Timothy Dalton .

Craig’s vanity project/bond era really departed from Fleming way back at part monk part hitman. The self hatred of his government and allies, then personal nature to every thing that happened really made it not bond but something else.

I mean, I get that the films have to adapt to changing times in order to survive. A Bond who was unquestioningly loyal to queen (or now king) and country might be a tougher sell in our more cynical age than it was when Fleming was writing. But nobody asked for the soap opera stuff. Brofeld was almost universally hated.

You just reminded me of the story from a few years back where it was speculated The British government approached Ian Fleming to creat a positive spy character for the public, it was after some embarrassing defections and betrayals in the late 40s early 50s .

I've never heard that, but it's possible. Fleming was a journalist before he turned to fiction, and had served in naval intelligence, so he would have had contacts in the establishment.

Literally everyone is begging for this to happen, including Cavill! d**n it Babz, as Bond said in TND, "You've forgotten the first rule in mass media; give the people what they want!"

And his roles in films like Argylle and that forthcoming Guy Richie spy film show that everyone recognises that he was born to play Bond, with the sole exception of a certain film producer whose initials are BB. Unfortunately, she's the one who gets to make the decision. Eventually.
