I just watched Rock Of Ages on HBO for the first time.........       What the heck was Tom Cruise thinking in doing this garbage? One of the WORST films I ever watched :!: Julianne Hough is going nowhere in terms of a musical/acting career. She is quite nice to look at and watch dance but her nasal singing and poor acting skills are not going to go that far and Seacrest just ended his relationship with her, if he ever really had one with her at all.

And This Is Spinal Tap is #14.Sorry,but I don't think it's that great.IMO it's not as screamingly funny as everyone makes it out to be.

I agree with:

#13(Raiders Of The Lost Ark-I saw it at the tender age of 10 and the melting Nazis traumatized me)

#21 The Breakfast Club

#26 A Hard Day's Night

#58 Silence Of The Lambs

#65 Grease(had the soundtrack and listened to it a LOT.)

#66Pulp Fiction

#71 Close Encounters(I remember seeing this at the drive in-showing my age,I know!)

#81 Schindler's List

TNT
The March 11 episode of TNT's hit drama Dallas, in which the Ewings bid farewell to iconic character J.R. Ewing, garnered a final Live + 7 audience of 4.9 million viewers, with more than 1.9 million adults 25-54 and 1.6 million adults 18-49. Meanwhile, last week's episode of Dallas drew 3.3 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, with 1.4 million adults 25-54 and 1.2 million adults 18-49.

TNT has some good shows-Monday Mornings(which is on after Dallas) is a medical drama-not anything that hasn't been done before-they have the same medical advisor as House, but passable just the same.

I can't remember whether I posted this interview with Peter Hunt here. It's where my sig quote comes from, but I have a feeling I never got around to posting the link. I just remembered now because I was going into archive.org for something else and the URL came up in my address bar.

TNT has released details about the Dallas season finale, which will air from 8-10PM on April 15.

Dallas Season Finale Part 1: "Guilt By Association" – Monday, April 15, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)
When John Ross and Pamela make a shocking discovery about an enemy's whereabouts the night J.R. was killed, Bobby is compelled to reveal more of J.R.'s master plan to them and ask for their help in a surprising way. Meanwhile, Christopher heads out to search for his mother, but as an unexpected secret comes to light, a rift drives Christopher and Elena apart. At the same time, Sue Ellen makes an impassioned plea to convince Ken Richards (guest star Lee Majors) to do the right thing, even though it may have dire consequences for him.

Directed by Jesse Bocho
Written by Taylor Hamra

Dallas Season Finale Part 2: "Legacies" – Monday, April 15, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT)
In the electrifying second season finale, the Ewings unite to execute J.R.'s master plan. Twists and turns abound as each family member tries to ensure its success in ways that would make even a scoundrel like J.R. Ewing proud. When the shocking answer to the question "Who killed J.R.?" is finally revealed, the stage is deliciously set for new alliances and new battles to begin.

Things a Movie Theater Employee Won’t Tell You:
"For the first month or two of screening, money from ticket sales goes to movie studios. Theaters rely on concession stands to make money. That’s why concessions are overpriced. Popcorn costs almost nothing to make. The only foods I trust are the popcorn, drinks, and boxed candy. I wouldn’t eat the pretzels, hot dogs, or nachos. Combination deals don’t save you money at some theaters. You’d pay the same price if you purchased the items separately. Yes, movies start late. But they almost always end on time – otherwise, the ushers wouldn’t know when to clean up. Theaters tell you to come in early so you have time to watch commercials and previews. Why does it smell so good? The popcorn has chemicals in it to make its aroma fill the theater."

I might believe it if movies stayed in theatres two months.
I believe the part about nachos

We looked this up before and maybe the first week the studio has a favorable cut after that theaters get more than 50%

There are exceptions to the rule-CR came out in November and was still in theaters well into February(at least where I lived, anyways!)

http://www.thefest.com/fest/Current/NewYork/ny.php This Saturday night we are off to the Beatles Fest to see the noblest Hermit of them all, Herman, aka Peter Noone, as well as Liverpool, the Beatles cover band. I always hoped Paul or Ringo would make an unannounced visit to the Saturday night concert, but so far, no such luck...........but you never know :!: Mark Hudson, who I cannot stand and has no talent whatsoever, is Kate Husdon's uncle (from Goldie Hawn), but she never shows up either. If interested, you can watch the live concert at this link Saturday night at 9:15PM EDT: www.thefest.com/live.

Skyfall wasn't that good of a movie. In the case of CR, it was(IMO)that people were starry eyed over Daniel Craig, etc.

BJ, don't get me started on Kate Hudson. I think she has no talent whatsoever. :cuss:
