Pffft.. That fits in with their absurdity of foisting Craggy as the Second-coming of Sean Connery: by adjusting their villains to parallel The Originals. Like making the first two "connected" with a single nefarious criminal organization behind the plots (DN/FRWL naming SPECTRE without trouble since the TB case wasn't settled in Kevin McClory's favor until after both movies were completed; CR just saying the "organization" followed by QoS's fruity "Quantum" because EON still didn't have the rights), then having an unrelated standalone villain for the third (GF himself and SF's whackjob Silva), followed by the return of said organization in the Fourth (TB and SF - The Sequel).bjmdds wrote:Bond 24 screenwriter John Logan has suggested that the Skyfall follow-up may re-introduce the Quantum crime organization from Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. Logan was asked if Bond 24 would be as big as Skyfall, to which he replied, “You ain’t seen nothing yet!”
Now that EON has the rights to Blofeld/SPECTRE for real, they'll want to strike while the iron's hot. But not so fast they'll actually resume the swift and efficient "production-line" ethos of making their films every 2 years, dragging it out to 3-4 because it's soooo important to cultivate such a "serious" work of "Art". So count on Craggy The Fourth to not only resume the fruity Quantum saga, but officially re-christen them as SPECTRE to get down with kickin' it Old-School, only "updated" and "improved" for this "New Age" of being all "hardcore" and "realistic", yo. And then top it off with the Fifth fully featuring New-Blofeld as the Ultimate Enemy for the Craggy to confront and destroy as their Grand Finale, thus sticking it to YOLT for only giving Donald Pleasence a walk-on & quick getaway without Connery laying a finger on him. Amirite?
