Thunder, I think we're all a little guilty of that.

EON feeds into that by putting out several different versions of each DVD, including several different "special edition" vrsions of DVD's. It's such a rip. :cuss:

But No More,The Producers were depending on longtime fans like me on Buying whatever old Junk they put out.Not the next timeI'll let Bond 23 pass me by.
I gave the reboot a chance gave back in 2007 when I look through CR on DVD (which I didn't rent but my dad did) through my laptop. After finishing the movie, I totally regret it not because it's bad but because I've broken a promise I made to myself that I wouldn't see CR in theaters for what EON did to Pierce.....dismissed him terribly and not giving him a classic Bond that would outmatch GE. But at least I didn't feed my money to EON by seeing it in theaters. As for QOS, I did not bother seeing it, and I never will.

Speaking on multiple editions of DVD/Blu-Ray, it's not just Bond but also other movies as well, especially Harry Potter. Right now, I'm trying to collect Harry Potter special edition DVDS before DH1 comes out on DVD/Blu-ray though I do own SS and POS both on special edition DVD, but I decided to reboot my collection as they're been worn out a little bit.

I wish there are more of these in stores instead of those single disc ones. OOTP and HBP are still available (depending on which store), but the first 4 HP films are rather hard to get unless you go to amazon.

The big difference being that the Harry Potter movies are actually *good*, unlike the Bond films ,where there have been some..how shall we say...stinkers.

Actually, I'd say it's like the mirror image of the old Star Trek franchise in that the odd numbered ones are good and the even numbered ones are...less good. Let's hope HP8 bucks the trend, since it would be a shame to go out with another GOF or HBP.

I'm back. I am getting used to the Mac book pro. The only drawback is it does not play some windows media player videos. As for December 2012, give me a break. This egghead again? Does Broccoli want to go down with the ship with the same actor?

I'm still not happy with DH1's current gross. It should have gross higher than it is. It's the finale, and Harry is finishing his time saving the world, for goodness sake.

YOU BOUGHT CR AND EVEN QOS?????? You must be a Death Eater!!!!!!!

I have no desire to add DC's Bonds to my collection as the films are the work of an enemy. As with CR and QOS, I have no desire to see Bond 23, great or not. I'll see Twilight 4 (part 2) instead even I despised the series since I'm on the side of Potter.
  about the Death Eater comment (truth be told this Lord Voldemort guy on Twitter, well one of them, is the funniest thing ever! He is hilarious with his sarcasm)

Glad to say they didn't get a penny from me for either CR or QoS, not at the cinema (thanks to my friend who owns cinemas) or least of all on DVD. Proud of it

I gave my money more than gladly for the other 20, but Craig's Bond is never going to get money from me.

Hello Commander! The video problem is very easily solvable: download VLC PLAYER, it's a multi platform player, very small software and works like a charm (works on Mac too obviously). And plays absolutely everything.

Lol November 2012. And Nov. 9, no less. Which I think is Thanksgiving. The interesting thing that I only just now realized is they will go up against Henry Cavill's new movie all the entertainment outlets keep talking about, "Immortals". That's being released on 11-11-11. I don't think the two movies have the same kind of public, but probably some of it...

It's currently number 5 of 7 in the Box Office Mojo chart for the franchise, and it's still on release. I think it'll climb at least another 2 places, though I don't think it will break $1 billion worldwide. But then, none of the others have either.

I tried the Flip4mac and the VLC player but I only get audio, no video or it still will not load the videos at all in some cases. They use Quicktime player on Macs.

Divx has a free Mac download. It didn't work for me, well cause I have a less than authentic setup. There is another add-on to make Quicktime play some of the video files. Swiss army something was the name, or a Swiss army knife was the logo. Another free download. If I can find it again I'll post the link.

I hope Part 2 is the top grosser of this year. Otherwise, I would really eat my socks. :x

Anyone else noticed that since we've received news on Bond 23 going into production, the old place seems a little more hostile than before?
Is it because Daniel Craig IS coming back for a third movie?
Is it because of something else?
I've found that before the announcement we all seemed to be getting along rather well. Then Bond 23 happens and everyone goes a little hostile.

Is it maybe because nobody says a thing and you keep posting "DANIEL CRAIG WILL BE BACK! And this is not his last one, don't start talking about Bond #7 yet" when instead up until before the announcement you were merrily discussing Bond #7 with others? Or is it because all of a sudden you have no doubts on Mendes or on the direction at all and nobody can say a thing because we all must wait according to you? Nobody has been hostile on this thread or elsewhere and we weren't even talking about it, we did mention it and without any hostility whatsoever. The fact Daniel Craig IS NOT BOND is certainly not news for this community, yet all of a sudden you seem to have forgotten that this is not the place to repeatedly post "Daniel Craig IS BAAAACK" since around here, that is not considered a point of merit for the upcoming Bond movie and you're perfectly aware of it. So why did you even post the above comment in here? Go check my posts, I always said that I wasn't going to think Craig wasn't doing Bond 23, not unless there was no announcement by mid-Feb. So I'm right here and things went the way I expected. I'm not only dealing with something I expected entirely, but rehiterating my feelings regarding what the direction is: the fact they announced a date for the movie doesn't change them one tiny bit, and frankly it is YOU trying every minute to exacerbate the atmosphere here, by continuously posting "Daniel Craig IS back". I ignored your previous post similar to this one "DANIEL CRAIG IS BACK HE'S BAAACKK" because I found it out of place and thought ignoring it was the best option. Guess it wasn't.

People are entitled to their opinion, but I agree with Ale: posting "Daniel Craig Is BACK!!!" over and over again is definitely hostile.

Since when has posting the TRUTH been wrong?
Daniel Craig IS returning to the role of James Bond for a third film. I'm fully aware of the sites name, but unless only anti-Craig fans are allowed to post here, then I WILL post in the style that I choose.
A sense of humour would do some folks the world of good.
First we had the boycott.
We got Casino Royale.
Then Craig wouldn't return for a second.
We got Quantum Of Solace
Craig would definetley not be coming back a third time, and with Bond 23 put on hold, it was a given.
Craig is schedule to shoot Bond 23 in the latter part of this year.
Shows how much some people here know. Especially the ones who are apparently in the know. I was shot down many times for apparently being on the pay of EON because of my thoughts on Bond.
Funny how it doesn't work the other way.
Being only a fan of Bond I don't follow other fandoms. Do any other sites exist for other forums Star Trek , Star Wars , Batman etc etc that have been so divided by the casting or changes made to a long running franchise that have almost cause a fan war?
We seem to have a Bond fan war with the casting of Craig.
It's sad really.

There's a huge difference between "posting the truth" once and spamming it on every post on Bond 23.

Once Cr-egg is gone all will return to normalcy. I guess Broccoli still is meeting with Danny on occasion to DISCUSS the upcoming film. The guy is a putrid Bond specimen and the farther he goes as Bond the worse it will get.
