For some reason I was under the impression it happened automatically once a certain number of posts were achieved.

We Have All The Time In The World seems appropriate, though, since it's now the official EON theme song.dirtybenny wrote: The last paragraph sounds great, except the "...referencing Bond's past that people loved, but still incorporating moments to move the films forward."
The incessant winks, nods and nudges of past Bond scenes were done to death in Danny's era and were absolute trash, I don't need to see a recreation of "Jill Masterson but with oil instead of gold," or any of the other cheap "Memberberries" we were subjected to since Die Another Day!

Please don't get me started on that bit of emotional theft! If that's truly what they have in mind going forward, by all means take "all the time in the world!"Kristatos wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 10:53 pmWe Have All The Time In The World seems appropriate, though, since it's now the official EON theme song.dirtybenny wrote: The last paragraph sounds great, except the "...referencing Bond's past that people loved, but still incorporating moments to move the films forward."

The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I think if any of this is legit, it’s a sign they will go back to what they were. Over reboot to the 1950s. Maybe not. Babs hasn’t had any original ideas in awhile. Cr was her Batman begins actually just about everything she did even to choice of directors was a rip off of somebody else idea. Not saying bond hadn’t been guilt of this in the past but it used to own the genre. Now there is a lot of the bond uniqueness is elsewhere.
Honestly I’d be curious is they’d just do a movie with Dalton or Brosnan as a one off. Give them both a decent send off with decent stories. Amazon would fund it, as long as it said bond.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
In regards to the MI6 forum, those people are actually insulted when Daniel Cr-egg is being demeaned. They truly feel as if they are along for the ride with him and Broccoli. In regards to ATJ and his religion, Broccoli may be determined to not offend the anti-Israeli folk, especially after the speech someone gave at the Oscars about it, so she very well might rethink her thoughts. If ATJ is not the choice now, this media hype will backfire and people will be annoyed by the constant teasing about the lead actor already.
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
But ATJ is British, not Israeli. Saying that being Jewish makes him responsible for the actions of the Israeli government is like saying that being Russian Orthodox makes someone responsible for the invasion of Ukraine.bjmdds wrote:In regards to ATJ and his religion, Broccoli may be determined to not offend the anti-Israeli folk, especially after the speech someone gave at the Oscars about it, so she very well might rethink her thoughts.

Tell that to the loons out there. Broccoli might not care BUT, who knows with her. ATJ is not my cup of Bond tea when Aidan Turner is out there.Kristatos wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 6:47 amBut ATJ is British, not Israeli. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
While everything is still up in the air with the new Bond franchise, many believe actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson will be the next James Bond. But who will be the first Bond girl of this new series? Everyone is guessing who it could be. There’s really nothing known about the new franchise, but UK gambling sites and tabloids are making their guesses for who the next Bond girl could be: Michelle Keegan, Jodie Comer, or Kaya Scodelario.

I prefer Turner as well, but I don't think he wants the job.bjmdds wrote: ATJ is not my cup of Bond tea when Aidan Turner is out there.

I’ll wager that it won’t be Aidan Turner.
Not that I don’t think , he could do it. I just think his age will be a factor.

Starting to wonder whether this "antisemitic backlash" isn't a manufactured controversy designed to evoke sympathy.

In an interview with GQ conducted before the Sun’s report, Taylor-Johnson appeared to rule himself out of contention, saying: “I don’t feel like I need to have a future drawn out for me. I feel like, whatever’s drawn out for me, I can f- - king do better.” He continued by saying that he “doesn’t necessarily want … doing one action movie after another” to be his “brand”.-----------is he deliberately trying to draw people off the track?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Sydney Sweeney is the leader of the pack to play the next female lead of the James Bond series. But what’s even more interesting is how the rest of the field shaking out, as the rest of the listed competition is made up of some absolutely winning prospects:
Sydney Sweeney 5/2
Jenna Ortega 11/2
Lily Collins / Millie Bobby Brown - 13/2
Zoey Deutch 8/1
Zoë Kravitz 9/1
Anya Taylor-Joy / Hailee Steinfield / Jodie Comer / Joey King / Zendaya - 14/1
Emma Watson / Florence Pugh - 16/1 ------Sweeney would be as relevant as Denise Richards was in TWINE and be chosen just as Richards was for her nude popularity in Wild Things.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
The problem with all this speculation is it's taking place current day and we all know nothing is going to happen at EON for at least another 2-3 years, we'll see who the hot commodities are then.
